Tuesday morning... Time to show off my baby to the rest of the school. When I turned seventeen I told my dad I wanted to ride a bike. So he started paying for lessons. I remember the day after the first time I got on my bike. I came home only to realise I had a broken arm because apparently 'I have no control' dad just sighed and drove me to the hospital... any way the past is the past. I quickly got dressed and I made sure to wear my high top heels to add to the biker chick look. Skipping down the stairs I made my way to my bike. Dad even got me helmet it was black with a Hawaiian stencil flower on the side in gold. Putting the helmet on my head I revved up the engine. I just sat there revving the engine. I wouldn't be surprised if the neighbourhood woke up.
“Amber get the fuck to school” Matt yelled sticking his head out of the window.
Why does he always ruin my fun? First the swings now this. I drove to school loving the wind against me and passing through all the traffic. A bike is the king of the road.******************
I pulled into the school car park attracting attention. I got a few lustful looks from the boys. I mean how hot was I? I'm a girl on a freaking bike. I parked next to car that Matt made me leave behind yesterday. Kat, Trent and Kai were sitting on the wall looking at me. I got of the bike and slowly taking of my helmet revealing my identity.
“OMG” Kai yelled running towards my bike. He kept touching it in awe.
“Earth to Kai” Kat giggled
“sweet ride” Trent said
“that's not fair I want one” Kai whined
“you know what Kai, how about I let you keep my car for today”
Kai looked up at me and smiled like a kid at Christmas.
“Amber I love you” Kai said while enveloping me into a big bear hug. I chuckled and walked into school.
I walked over to my locker and punched in the code. Opening the locker I checked out my hair in the mirror.*************
“So where did you get the bike from?”
I turned around to come face to face with Jase
“umm... my dad got it for me” I hesitantly replied. What was wrong with me, I was supposed to be the 'I don’t give a crap girl ‘ but there was something with Jase
“so you must be loaded right?” he questioned inching closer
“y...you could say that?” in fact we were only a bit over average most the money came from illegal business my dad attends to and soon enough me.
“So you wouldn't mind giving a little then” he said placing his arm on my locker door. My eyes darted for an escape. But his voice bought me back to his eyes.
“A little bit of information” he added leaning in closer with a smirk on his face.
Where the hell were Kat and Kai when you need them? His eyes were hypnotizing. The ivory green dragging you in. I looked at his lips quickly, not wanting to stare into those green death traps.
“So what do you say?” he questioned again, bringing his lips closer to the base of my neck. His hot breath raising hairs. I crammed up further against the locker trying to get as much distance as possible between us. “Mr Crawford and Ms McCartney. My office now” the principal boomed*****************
Jase jumped away from me and removed his signature smirk. I let out a breath of relief and slowly walked behind Jase not wanting to get any more attention of him. The whole way I walked with my head bowed with embarassment I bet that Mr. Go lucky had a smirk on his face. For some reason he found this whole situation amusing.
“Wait for me here” the principal said pointing at the chairs in the reception. We sat in silence for a few minutes not daring to say a word to him.
“I saw when arrived looking like a supermodel, you ass from the side looks just like a coke bottle, I like the way you put that thing on, so get, get, get up on the, I wanna see you moving like they're moving in Jamaica, pretend that I am dinner you can be my salt shaker, up you ain't trying to hide it girl you're a troublemaker and I’m a troublemaker maker.” Jase whispered but loud enough for me to hear. He sent sideward glances toward me and his smirk reappeared. Oh he did not just challenge me. I would so win this thing.
“X-men, X-men, your ex-boyfriend should thank me that I took you off his hands, No I can't bring another beach to the sand, And know I am well aware that you can bring a man to his knees, And get what you need without saying please, But can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat, And they put this man's Grammy's on the street?
What? Why so quiet?” I smugly replied. Now I was the one wearing a smirk“Now you see us all the same, Like our words are just a game, Spitting lies, dirty lies
I know you know There's something here, But you cannot get past the fear, I can help you make it clear... So when you feel like trying again, Reach out, take my hand, See how great it could be, To fall in love with someone you can trust” this time he said it with a tune. Sure he was trying to win but I am not one to accept defeat easily.“See, I’m true, my songs are where my heart is, I’m like glue, I stick to other artists, I’m not you, now that would be disastrous, Let me sing and do my thing and move to greener pastures, See, I’m real, I do it all, it’s all me, I’m not fake, don’t ever call me lazy, I won’t stay put, give me the chance to be free, Suffolk sadly seems to sort of suffocate me, Cause you need me, man, I don’t need you, You need me, man, I don’t need you, You need me, man, I don’t need you at all”
“Come in” Mr. Curran announced (out principal) We walked into his office and sat in the two chairs opposite his desk.
“I was walking towards to my car to collect my file, but what I came across in the hallway was a very disturbing sight” Mr Curran continued
“you think that’s disturbing, well I guess you haven’t caught us in the store room then” Jase said looking at me with an evil glint in his eye
“that was unnecessary Mr. Crawford” Mr Curran said giving him a disapproving look.
“You two should have been class, not having attempts in making love. Amber you have detention”
“but I didn’t do anything” I whined
“I witnessed otherwise” he said raising an eyebrow. Was he seriously expecting a comeback? That’s it I knew exactly what I was going to say.
“Well my dad won’t be too happy” I replied with a knowing smirk Mr Curran’s eyes seemed to wonder around the room trying to get himself out of this situation.
“I will let you off again Amber. Whereas Jase you have detention after school” he unwillingly sighed
“hey, Amber was in on it too” he moaned like a child.
“Jase” the principal said sternly
“fine” Jase said defeated
“you can leave now” the principal said waving his hand dismissively in the direction of the door Stepping out of the office I glared at Jase. He just smiled. Seriously he had detention and he smiled
“will you go out with me, Amber?” Jase asked I stood there shocked, my eyes popping out of my sockets and my mouth hanging open. Was I dreaming? Am I feeling ok? Did I hear right?
“Soooo...” Jase asked
