Trent's P.O.V
I sat in maths day dreaming about what it would be like if I was a millionaire. Oh my god, the girls, the money, the attention. The only numbers I was good with were zeros and lots of them. My phone vibrated in my pocket. I reached out and read the message. Oh sugar. I need to leave now. God this was bad.
“umm sir, I don't feel to well” I lied convincingly.
O.k not my best plan but I had to leave, quick
“head of to the nurse's office then” he replied and carried on explaining what was on the board. He quickly wrote down 69 hoping not to get the usual reaction. Hah! 69. I know it was immature but it was funny. I was mentally cracking up, until my phone buzzed again. I quickly headed out the classroom until I heard voices that sounded a lot like Amber and Jase. No they could not be together. No, my plan was slowly failing. I crept up against the wall trying my best not to be seen or heard. My phone vibrated again. I flipped it open and sent a text back telling them I was in the middle of something important and I would be there is a while. Hopefully now my phone would leave me alone
“will you go out with me Amber?” Jase asked
no, hell to the no she will not go out with you. She better say no. Jase you had to go ask that question didn't you? I looked over at Amber who stood there dumbfounded, shock clearly written all over her face. Silence filled the corridor.
“soooo” Jase said breaking the silence
Amber now looked at Jase in the eye. It looked like she was contemplating on what to say. Amber you will only make my job harder if you say yes.
“if I say yes, and things don't turn out as expected do not be surprised if I dump you” Amber said confidently
why is she always so confident. It's like you could put her in any position and she will face it with a strong head.
“don't worry babe, you won't be leaving me any time soon” Jase said
his voice just wanted me to go over to him and give him a punch in his bloody face.
“well then we better get to class” said Jase
he put his arm around her waist and pulled her in the opposite direction from me. She grabbed his arm and moved it away from her body. For some reason I felt proud.
Making sure the coast was clear I walked to my car and got in. I had to make a call. I dialled the number and after 4 rings he picked up.
“talk to me boy” his voice boomed
“bad news boss” I said into the phone
“go on”
“they’re getting close. Too close, not like before. He asked her out. She said yes” I quickly said the last bit and waited for his reaction.
I heard him take a breath.
“listen up now. You are to move to plan B. Understand” he said in a commanding tone
“yes sir” with that he ended the call.
I started the engine and drove off.
I knew what I had to do
