Chapter 3

Hayley's POV
-1 year later-

Ever since Caleb came to my room last year he has been showing up every night since. We have long talks and i get to know him better since I didn't really remember him. "HAYLEY GET DOWN HERE" my mom yells. She has been acting strange lately and now my dad is barley home and when he his he is always fighting with my mom. "What..." I say as she grabs my arm tight and fear covers my face. She lets go slowly "sorry...um, will you do the dishes?" She asked me "yeah whatever" i say walking to the kitchen. I do the dishes then walk upstairs and i pass Annie. She looks at me but i keep walking, we slowly stopped talking when i turned 12 and since then, its gone down hill but i don't care, i don't need her.

Annie's POV

Hayley brushes pass me and doesn't say a word, i miss her especially after Caleb died i need her badly... She's gone kind of dark. She always wears dark colors and she died her hair she also wears a ton of make up. I wear brighter colors and light make up but oh well it's her life. Im going to college in Massachusetts so ill be a couple hours away by plane. Im now 18 and its July at the moment. So in one month i leave. I stopped gymnastics last year so i made sure I didn't get hurt. Im going to be on the D2 gymnastics team. Im really excited and i wanted to spend time with Hayley before i go but she doesn't want to hang out with me...
-15 minutes later-
'Whats that banging?' I wonder so i walk upstairs and its Hayley blasting the only song she ever listens to.I slam on the door "HAYLEY TURN IT DOWN!!" I scream and she turns it freaking up. I storm in her room and she just looks at me "get the fuck out of my room" she says straight faced. I stand there shocked and respond "Hayley you have changed and not for the better.." And i walk straight out of her room.

Hayley's POV

"Hayley you have changed and not for the better.." Annie says as she walks straight out of my room. 'I haven't changed..i-i hate change.' I think to myself. I sit and wonder, 'maybe i have changed...at least a little...?' I put my headphones on so i don't bother Annie when i hear footsteps walking away and realized she was standing at my door...

-later that night-

"Mom and dad have been fighting a lot lately" i tell Caleb "i know...ive been watching" he says to me "im scared" i say with tears in my eyes "don't be" he leans in for a hug but i fall right through him and we laugh but cry at the same time.

Annie's POV

I was up because mom and dad were yelling at each other. I was wondering if Hayley was awake so i got up and tip toed to her room. She was talking to someone, on the phone probably. I wasn't sure who's voice was on the other end but it sounded familiar...
