Chapter 8

Hayley's POV

"Um...we can move" my dad says "move? Where?" I ask "California?" He asks us to see if we approve. Annie and i look at each other then back at our dad "YES!" We say in unison.
-later that night-
We had to stay in our old house one last time before our flight to California. Its 2:00am and we have to get up at 4:00am for our flight that leaves at 6:00am. I was listening to my favorite song. "Caleb" i whisper and he appeared. "Hi" he said "are you coming to California with us?" I ask "do you want me to?" He asks "yes!" I say obviously "then i w-" he cuts off and starts glitching almost "CALEB?!" I yell and he goes away. I keep my music on and i was really scared but i don't scare easily so its saying a lot. I laid back on my bed and started to hear things. "Hayley...." I hear lightly "c-caleb?" I whisper scared and got no response. I thought i saw something move in my closet so i turned my light on and paused the music. I got up and walked to my closet, shaking. "Hello?" I whisper. Then i hear a song playing. It sounds familiar. It wasn't my favorite song but i had it on my phone. I walk over to my phone and look for the song, 'scars to your beautiful' by Alessia Cara . I press play. It's a song about being yourself and being comfortable in your own skin. Once i play the song from my phone the music i heard earlier stopped. I was so scared at this point. Then Caleb appears "Finally. My goal was to bring you back to yourself, change the song, for you to be happy." Caleb said. It was his plan all along. "So is this goodbye?" I ask "it is...stay yourself Hayley, we all like you that way." He told me as he disappeared. Next thing i know my alarm went off and i had to get ready for the big move.
