Jen had started to hold her breath as soon as the water enveloped her nose.

"Please, just-Jen please" Leo begged. He had tears in his eyes.

She didn't move.

"Leo!"

He looked up shocked to see Michael and Mitch, they faced him, both were treading water. Mitch swam over to him, grabbing his arm.

And...

Everything happened so quickly.

He tried to yell. Tried to shout that without him they would come back to the beeches and create chaos. But nothing came out of his mouth. He let Michael drag him out of the machine, he let go...

Maybe a hidden part of him had grasped for survival, anything that gave him a chance to live. They would find a different way to beat the metal beasts, they had too.

But while deep in shock with his own thoughts and heavy breathing he did not see what was really going on until it was...to late.

Leo had assumed one of the twins was going to get Jen, while the other grabbed him. But as he treaded the water, Mitch holding on to him to make sure he didn't try and go back he noticed... Michael was also there.

And he didn't have Jen with him.

None of the metal beasts had come back up.  But they had to be! If they weren't still being controlled that had to come up! But they didn't, none of them did.

No, no, no, NO!

"Jen!" He cried out, trying to swim back.

Mitch pulled him away "What are you talking about?"

"Jen's down there still! Please!" He cried out.

Michael swam towards them, also holding Leo back from going backwards "Jen's back at Camp. She couldn't have gotten to where you were on her own-"

"No! Jen-" Leo started to say but spluttering and coughing as water went into his mouth.

Everything after that seemed to go in slow motion and Leo couldn't make sense of anything. Before he knew it he was back on solid ground, feeling dazed and sick to his stomach.

He didn't hear anyone trying to speak to him. Didn't hear their questions or even when they celebrated at first when they saw Mitch and Michael drag him back to the beach.

He tried to shout Jen was still down there! But no one seemed to listen, convinced he'd swallowed too much water and was exhausted.

He really did have a panic attack this time. His vision swam and he blacked out...

"JEN!"

Leo screamed himself awake, he noticed he was still on the beach, he mustn't have been out long? He tried to get up but Damon held him back down.

"Hey, hey, easy"

"I-" Leo started but Damon shook his head cutting him of "Mitch and Michael went back to have a look, no one was there, man you must have swallowed a lot of salt water. Believe it or not but you were pretty dehydrated when you first came up"

No one was there.

But that wasn't possible!

She had been there, she had-

"Leo?!"

Wait...he knew that voice?

It wasn't Jen but...

He turned around, eyes wide.

Damon stepped in front of Leo, protectively, glaring at the stranger.

"Who are you?!" Damon growled.

But Leo knew.

He stood up, eyes wide, his head spun, he couldn't cope with any of this! He had to steady himself a little bit before he said in shock.

"Jason?!"
