A chariot of flames rode through the sky, embers sparking all around it's base as it began to descend and charge at him.
He felt his legs twinge as he attempted to leap out of the way, they wouldn't obey his commands. Unable to preoccupy himself with them as the chariot grew ever closer, he drew a blade from his side and resolved to face it head on.
Sitting in it's cockpit he could see a woman with a beautiful face, eyes piercing like those of a hawk, with an intensity burning brighter than the chariot she rode visible within them.
She let out a battle cry from the pit of her stomach, and he challenged it with his own as they collided into a massive explosion of flames.
The scene changed.
A city under siege of some sort, burning pieces of metal crashing to the ground below at random, the cries of the suffering echoed throughout the blazing ruins. Someone was yelling out his name.
Shakily his vision shifted around and he could see young men and women who he knew he had met yet could not recall beyond that. They all wore full body suits, metal in appearance they seemed to be a form of armor, rings of light hung about the crown's of their heads each a bright different color. These halo like rays expanded and contracted as these iron clad warriors leapt about, clashing with an unknown foe, sonic booms split the air space with every collision.
His vision still not fully returned he looked down at his hands to seem them clad with the same metal as the others, however a thick coat of dark crimson liquid was splattered about them.
Grasping his head with his hands he fell to his knees screaming.
A sharp pain to the stomach seemed to crush his insides, he was falling, blacking out, his screams dissipated into oblivion.
His eyes opened, a white "popcorn ceiling" as they were called, a small ceiling light installed in the center, it's artificial light somewhat blinding him as he stared at it.
Then he felt the pain in his stomach again, he looked at his torso to see someone's foot pressed down on his abdomen. Tracing up the leg he saw a light blue nightgown, and studied it a bit with his eyes, appreciating the body it covered before moving up to the person's face.
"How long are you going to sleep? Have you not slept enough beloved?" they said.
Melos' mind immediately snapped into reality, Anosa had been trying to wake him up for a while now.
"Would you mind moving ya foot, love? I can feel internal bleeding already." Melos joked as he rolled from under her, causing her to stumble a bit.
He sprung to his feet, and lazily placed one arm around her shoulders, leaning in and placing his head against hers.
"And I don't know about you, but I'm still dead tired."
Anosa pulled her head back and flung it forward into his, knocking him back to the ground
She laughed as she walked into the washroom, dropping her nightgown as she did so.
"You've slept enough, too much actually. You need to be active to keep your body energized."
Sitting up, Melos rubbed his head and ran his long dexterous fingers through his messy hair.
"I think beating the ever-loving crap out of me is not the best motivator, I may be mistaken though." He joked.
The sound of a concentrated flow of water could be heard from the wash room, Anosa's voice carried over it. "It seems to do the job just fine actually." Her laugh bringing a relaxed smile to Melos' face.
