I jump as turn around in on action. Peetas surprised face relaxes me.
"What was that for?" I mumble.
"Well, I can back for my jacket and saw you standing her so I came over and surprised you!" He explains. He did really scare me there. I thought he was gone.
"Don't do it again okay?" I demand as in wiggle from his grip on my arms.
"Okay," he promises laughing a little.
I go to sit down by the fire and Peeta joins me.
"I wonder why Effie and my mother are coming to join us here," I ask.
He shrugs.
"I just wish they would stay," I blurt out.
Peeta looks at me with those sky blue eyes and I realize, that everything i need is here. Right in this room. I go in to kiss him. I pull away.
"What?" He asks coming closer to me.
"What if Haymitch marries Effie?" I giggle.
He just laughs. We go back to watch the fire burn. I think I may have finally be okay. Safe. Until Peeta stands and starts backing away. I stand too. I follow him and see in those eyes, this is hijacked Peeta.
"Katniss you need to run," he whispers.
"Peeta-" I start.
"RUN!" He yells.
He lunges at me but dodge it. I run outside not knowing where to go. I decide quickly on the woods. I sprint to fence. I glance behind me. He's right in my heels. I do a dive roll through the fence, but twist my ankle.As I struggle to regain my footing Peeta is struggling to get through the fence. I hobble through the woods looking for a hiding spot.
"YOU DISGUSTING MUTT! YOU KILLED EVERYONE I LOVED! NOW IM GOING TO KILL YOU! I HATE YOU!" He screams.
Tears run down my cheeks as run. I get pulled to the ground by my arm. He sits on top of me. He punches my face repeatedly as I cry.
I black out.
