Ratchet walked around the base. Optimus came around the corner as he looked to his oldest friend.
"Ratchet, what was it that you needed to see me for?"
"Optimus. How do I tell them?" Optimus sighed as he sat on the med bay berth. Ratchet standing in front of him.
"Ratchet, it is best to do so before too long."
"I have no excuse, no reason to not tell those two who I am. Before Smokescreen came along, I never wanted to tell Bumblebee. It would ruin our connection. It would confuse him. He would know that I was too much of a coward to fix his voice, present myself, that I abandoned him during the war. And that I cut our bond off because I no longer wanted anything to do with him. It was to protect him. Yet, he still ended up with me. It all looks too wrong, Optimus." Optimus shut his optics with thought before looking back to Ratchet.
"Ratchet, I believe it is well past time to tell the young scout and his brother exactly what they are to you. I will retrieve them. Be on top of base awaiting their arrival. Privacy is best for this conversation." Ratchet merely nodded at the orders from the Prime.
Optimus retreated to the wreck room. Strewn exercise materials were among the two younglings in the room. The kids watching and learning the different materials in the room. Bulkhead, Miko, and WheelJack were in the corner sharing Cybertronian stories.
"Smokescreen, Bumblebee, I require your presence." The two turned and nodded curtly before following Optimus out of the room. They excused themselves from the kids.
"Optimus, may I ask why you need us?" Smokescreen questioned. Bumblebee nodded, wanting to know as well.
"Young ones, please report to the top of base. You will get your answer there." The two nodded, listening to their orders.
Ratchet sighed as he heard the two Autobots make it to the top of base. He turned to look at them. "Are we in trouble?"
Ratchet chuckled gently, "no. Not this time." Bumblebee rose a brow in question. "Smokescreen, Bumblebee, I would like to show you something." Opening my chest plate, my sparks wavelength reached the two in front of me. Bumblebee bleeped in surprise. Shutting my chest plate, the two shuddered at a new feeling.
"I am your sire. And before you bombard me with questions, I promise you. It was all for your own good." Bumblebee stood, his optics turning. Smokescreen was immediate at jumping into my arms. The hug constricting. Bumblebee was reluctant. Smokescreen broke from me to look at his brother.
"Bee?"
"Why?"
"Because I care deeply for the both of you. It would be far to hard to understand."
"Thank you, Ratchet." Bumblebee was hugging me.
