There was one day left until summer vacation. Kamino hadn't made any real moves to destroy Kazama's and Maki's relationship, unless you count her flirtation as one.
"Come on, hottie. Pay attention to me," Kamino said to Kazama. Maki rolled her eyes.
"Forget it, Kamino. He's not going to leave me. We're too close." Maki neglected to mention that she knew about their past, so Kamino still thought that Kazama was keeping it a secret from her.
"You have no idea about what we've done together," Kamino said. She was trying to imply possible sexual acts, when she was really just talking about her past.
"We all know you are lying about what you're trying to imply. Kazama would never do anything dirty with a bi—I mean—anyone, not even me."
"What we're you about to say there, Maki? To scared to foul up your precious lips. Come on, say it. Are you too scared?"
Maki was starting to get really pissed off, but she doesn't want to say it because she knew that Kazama doesn't like it. Maki kept walking without paying her any mind.
Kazama walked by her side, and Kamino stayed. This was how lunch had been for the past couple of weeks.

Last period got out, and it was officially summertime. Kamino immediately walked up to Kazama. Maki got out of her seat to walk to Kazama's class and saw Kamino talking to Kazama. She rolled her eyes. She was starting to think that her eyes would roll out of her head if she kept this up. She had rolled her eyes so much since Kamino started getting desperate with her campaign to snatch Kazama.
"I should have asked this a while back. Do you remember me yet, Kazama?" Did Kamino really ask that? But why now of all times? Maki kept listening in.
"I remembered you the first day you gave me those letters. The afflux of memories came as I read them. I told Maki as well. About our past together."
"That explains her answers. She seemed to know about us awhile. Also, would you like to spend our vacation at my vacation home?"
That jerk! Did she really invite him to spend the summer at her vacation home?
"Just tell Maki that you're going overseas to spend summer with your brother or something. She doesn't need to know about what we could be doing there."
That was it! She was fed up with her. She restrained herself though. Kazama had told her constantly to hold back, but she couldn't take anymore.
"Sure, it sounds like fun, b—" that was all Maki heard. It was all she needed and wanted to hear.
Kamino saw Maki drop her bag and run; she knew she had won this round. She had hoped for Kazama's acceptance and knew that Maki was a person to assume. She was tough on the outside, but insecure inside. She proved that only a month ago.
Kazama heard the bag drop, but turned too late. He didn't see her run, but he ran out the door and saw her running. "Kamino."
"Yes, darling—"
"Shut up." Kamino heard his tone, and she was seriously starting to become scared. After the first time she ticked him off, she was scared of it happening again, but it was all for her love. "First, you better let me take her, and I won't commit any sexual acts with you, even if she wasn't there. Second—" he walked over to her and put a finger to her chest. He felt her heartbeat; it was quick. He smirked. Checkmate. "—you better not hurt her again. I gave you a warning last time, and I'll do it again. I don't want to commit murder in school. I know I said that you were going to die last time, but it's more fun scaring you to death."
