Eric stood beside his pregnant wife's bed while she was in labour. They had been married for nearly five hundred years. Isabella (Eric's wife) had given up the hope of having a child. Until twelve months ago when she found out she was pregnant.
Both the couple and their kingdom were overjoyed by the pregnancy. Eric never left his wife side even when she got angry. After long twelve months it was time for the new prince or princess of the kingdom to arrive.
Information - Eric Dragon-fire is the king of the fairy's of Middle Earth they live near Grey Haven. He has black hair and amber eyes is 735 years old but looks 21. His wife Isabella has auburn hair and purple eyes. She is an elf-fairy that used to live alone until she attended the Eric's 210 birthday ball.
They fell madly in love and were soulmates. She was only 195 at the time and is now 720 years old. Fairies do not have children often and every child is a gift to them. Until their 210 birthday they age 1/10 of a human. Then they become immortal and can only die if their head or heart is destroyed.
Humans are their greatest threat even with magic on their side. The fairies were nearly wiped out during the first war with the power ring. But a member of the rule family and some civilians survived the attack.
Even now humans still pose a threat to fairy kind and so the fairies made an alliance with the elves of Mirkwood. They lived peacefully for many years and have enjoyed life on the edge of King Thranduil's land.

Suddenly a high baby cry was heard inside the birth chamber. Eric looked at the healer who gave his king the new heir. "It is a girl Isabella" he told his wife happily as he let her hold their baby.
"Nikita Isabella Dragon-fire" Isabella stated looking at her beautiful daughter who had stopped crying. "She has your hair Eric" Isabelle told her husband as he kissed their foreheads.
"And your eyes my love" Eric told his wife when he saw his baby's purple eyes. "She is a fairy I can feel her strong power. Even though she is so young" the king told his wife. She smiled and feed her baby for the first time. As her husband left the room to tell the kingdom the news.
"It is girl and her name is Nikita Isabella Dragon-fire" he announced. The crowd cheered and soft music started to play. When he returned to the birth chamber he saw his wife holding their daughter. As she swayed and hummed a soft lullaby to the sleeping baby.
Eric hugged his wife's waist and said "she is perfect my love." Isabella agreed with her husband and they went to the party. They were dancing happily with their baby in Isabella's arms believing nothing could ruin this night. But it was not meant to be for the family to live in peace.
Humans from both Rohan and Gondor attacked during the party. Eric sent his wife to hide with the healer who helped bring their daughter into the world Elrond. He was the elf king of Rivendell. Isabella couldn't hide while her people fought for their lives. She gave Nikita to Elrond telling her to keep her daughter safe and to take her to Rivendell.
Before he could protest she disappeared into the fight with her sword drawn. Elrond quieted the crying baby with a calming spell. Then he got onto his horse then left with his gaurd to Rivendell. They sneaked out the back way with Elrond in the middle with the now sleeping fairy princess.
When they arrived at Rivendell he sent his best warriors to help the fairy people and sent word to King Thranduil of the attack. He put the baby in his daughter Arwen's room in Arwen's old cot. Then went to his study and waited for word on want happened to the fairy people.
The next day word came of the fairies demise. He was sadden by the death of the fairy race. When he heard the baby cries from his daughters room and he ran to see want was wrong. But when he arrived he saw the baby was only hungry and gave her a bottle. He decided tom then on he'd raise the child as his own.
But he couldn't do it alone and decided to call his old friend. Gandalf the grey wizard was a friend of the fairy people. He also knew their powers and history better then Elrond does. The wizard agreed to help raise the last fairy of Middle Earth want she was a secret. So that no one could ever hurt her or try to control her power.
