"So, let me get this straight. Your boyfriend was a psycho assassin but that was because he was brainwashed by Nazis?" My dad asked with an even more confused look than before I explained to him.

"Yes." I said exasperated.

"And he was kept frozen for the last 70 years?"

"Yes."

"And now he's not an assassin anymore, instead he joined the Avengers?"

"Well, he's technically not in the Avengers but he sometimes help them on missions and stuff, especially those related to HYDRA."

"HYDRA is the Nazi?" asked my mom.

"Yes."

"So, he's not a killer anymore?"

"No."

"He's one of the good guys now?"

"Yes."

Mom and dad were eyeing me suspiciously, while Audrey stared at me in disbelief.

"Wow, I've always thought you were kind of coo-coo, but I never thought you were actually fucking insane." Audrey shook her head.

"Oh shut up, you know nothing about him." I scoffed.

"Yeah, what the fuck was that all about? You've been living with a well-known Soviet assassin and you never thought of telling us anything?" She added with an attitude.

"Because this is exactly what I've been avoiding. I don't want to have to explain to you people why I love the man I love!"

"So, you two love each other?" This time, my mom piped up.

I sighed and buried my face into my palms. "Yes."

"Honey, I don't see why you wouldn't just tell us. I mean, we put up with that asshole of a boyfriend for 4 years when Audrey dated Calvin, I'm sure we can handle an ex Soviet assassin." Dad said, moving closer to where I was sitting and pulled me into a side hug.

"Excuse me, ex boyfriend." Defended Audrey.

"Same thing. That son of a bitch treated you like crap." Dad rolled his eyes.

"Well, Bucky treats me right. He's honestly really sweet, he's just rough around the edges, that's all." I smiled to the three most important people in my life, aside from Bucky.

"That's all that matters, to me at least. I can't have someone treat my princesses less than what they deserve. So if you say he's treating you right, I can't see a reason why I should have a problem with that." He smiled down at me and I pulled him closer.

"Thank you, dad."

The sound of the front door opening broke our little family love and all of our attention was set to Bucky, who was standing in the doorway.

"Oh, sorry. I thought you guys were done. I'll be out here." He turned around to step out of the apartment but I stopped him before he closed the door.

I grabbed his hand and smiled. "It's okay, we're done. But a little warning though, they might ask questions."

Bucky nodded and both us walked to the living room. "I'm sorry for earlier, Bucky. I guess I was just a little bit surprised, that's all." My dad sounded from the seat opposite to Bucky.

"A little?" Scoffed Audrey.

"That's alright Sir, it's understandable. This isn't how I pictured us meeting, to be honest." Bucky smiled briefly.
