The jet black limousine arrived literally in front of Akashi. He got into the rear seat after opening the door. The driver started to drive as soon as his master closed the door.
The middle school had finally over. He even 'bid a goodbye' to other Generations of Miracle. They would be attending different high schools and faced each other in basketball tournaments. Thinking about playing against his former teammates amused him.
His thought was suddenly disturbed by his phone's ringtone. He just got a message, from an unknown email. He turned on his phone to read the message written:
'Hello, my dear Akashi Seijuro. How are you doing, dear? Can't wait for high school? Haha!
I am your fairy godmother. Virtual godmother you could say. You can call me godmother or mother if you prefer that.'
Who is this? How dare she uses mother title. No one can replace his mother.
He continued reading:
'By the way, congratulations for winning Winter Cup! I'm so proud of you, dear. Sorry for not congratulating earlier.'
Akashi closed the message. Who on Earth was sending him such message? Why was she trying to be mother-like to him?
He decided to not reply to this stranger's message assuming that it would be a fangirl or someone trying to pull a prank on him.
He put the phone back into his pocket and stared outside the car's window. He started to miss his mother. He wished it was his mother who congratulated him, face-to-face.
"Mother..." he whispered.
On the other side of the phone, the stranger was lying on her bed uncomfortably. She was hoping that Akashi wouldn't reply to ruin her wonderful plan. Yet she knew he would never reply. She threw her phone on the pillow and grabbed her Baymax plushie before hugging it.
"Please at least smile, Akashi Seijuro," she said.
She just got his contact yesterday from her mother who was a detective at the Tokyo Police Department. She persuaded her mother to help her at least get Akashi's contact. As a cop who was a specialist in information searching, her mother got his contact and some of his life's background. From that, Shuha learned that Akashi had lost his mother. That was why she wanted to play part as his so-called godmother to help him.
Her family said she had this natural talent in curing people's mental. She helped many people from distress around her. She always had her own way in helping them.
Thus, she hoped she could also help Akashi this time.
