The sky was dark with ashes, the debris from broken buildings was falling upon our now blood smeared city like rusted drops of rain. We sat, huddled together, alone in a world large enough to engulf us in its massive wave of destruction. It wasn't The City Of Paradise, anymore. We, the children of glory and safety had decimated the city, and stripped it of its name.
We could think of nothing but ourselves. Not imagining the sacrifice, the consequences and the resulting bloodshed of our own kin because of our shallow thoughts and ideas.
WAR. It is a powerful thing few understand. It is something that is beyond being expressed in words. We caused this. We started this unimaginable, brutal, fatal thing that nobody in our era had witnessed, until now.
We, the millennials of the 36th century, committed a brutal genocide, killing all the adults in Laver. Yes, terrible. We know. But now, we're repenting our actions and changing things. We're going to change time. We found a way, and we will stop this from ever happening.
We promise.
