Chapter Two

Dakota's POV

Beep beep beep. My alarm woke me up and I grabbed my phone to turn it off. I texted Fae and asked if she talked to Jasmine. I grabbed my keys and wallet and walked out to the front room to walk out the front door when my mom stopped me.

"And where do you think your going?" my mom is a 5'8" as were I am 5'6" so she is a little bit taller than me. She has blondish brown hair that is a little bit longer than shoulder length, and greenish brown eyes.

"Hello, how was your day? Was it good? I know mine was." I replied sarcastically.

"Don't sass me!" she snapped back.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" I replayed sarcastically again.

"You didn't answer my question." she said changing the subject. "Where are you going?"

"Me, Fae and I think Jasmine were going to go see a movie and eat dinner afterwards. We were just gonna catch up and hang out." I replied.

"And you didn't bother to ask me?" she said.

"Sorry." I said, actually meaning it. She must have heard the tone of sincere in my voice because when she replied she matched the same tone of sincere in my voice.

"Ok, but text me when the movie is over and when you are getting dinner, or of the plans change, ok?"

"Ya." I said acknowledging her.

No matter how mad or rude she is to me she can make it up to me like that. I should still be mad at her, but she and my brother are all I have. I walk over to the door and put my hand on the handle when her voice stopped me again.

"I love you." she said.

"Love you too, mom." I replied.

I walked out to my silver Nissan Maxima and put the keys in the ignition. Before I started I looked down and my phone. I hadn't realised Fae texted me back.

She said

[Ya, she said she would love to. Are you gonna pick us up or are we all gonna take our own cars?]

I texted her back

[k and I'll just pick you both up, sound good?]

I started my car and headed to Jasmine's house because she lives like not even two minutes away from where I do. As I pull into her driveway I honk at her to come out, and then look down at my phone and saw the text Fae sent me.

It read:

[k, see ya when you get here.]

And then I texted back

[k.]

Jasmine opened my car door and seemed to have practically jump in my car. She was a little bit shorter than me, she was 5"4' and had brown eyes and blond hair that went down to the middle of her back, and multiple ear piercings in both ears.

"Hey there girly!" she said perky per usual.

"Hey!" I said imitating her tone.

"How have you been?" she asked me.

"I've been doing pretty good, how about you?" I said as I started the car and started to drive away heading to Fae's house that was about a five minute drive.

"No seriously." she said in a more serious tone in her voice.

"Seriously." I said looking at her for a quick second then returning my when on the road "I've been good."

"Ok, just making sure..." she said back. I could feel her eyes on me.

My dad left us at the end of the school year and she knows it had been hard on me. What she didn't know was that she was that my mom thought I was the reason dad left and that she was taking her anger out on me. Time seemed to pass slow. She finally broke the silence.

"So... What food do you want after the movie?" she asked me changing the subject.

"Probably Taco Time, I know we all love it, what do you think?" I asked her

"Sounds good to me!" she said perky again.

We finally arrived at Fae's house and she got in the car. She was a little bit taller than me, she was 5"8' with black hit that went down a couple inches past her shoulders, with beautiful bright green eyes. She was pale, much paler than either me or Jasmine.

We talked as I drove to Wal-Mart and we got snacks went to the movies and stuffed the candy in are pockets and shirts and then went to the movies. After the movies we went to Taco Time and eat dinner I texted my mom and we hung there for a little while after we were done eating.

We were walking out the door and I wasn't watching where I was going and and ran into someone. I looked up and said sorry and when I saw his face and didn't recognize him (are town is pretty small and so I knew just about everyone, but him, I had no clue who he was).

He was tall, much taller than me probably like 6" something, and looked about to be are age. He had short black hair that complemented his sky blue eyes. He was pale like Fae. And his jawline was amazing. You could see he worked out because he was wearing a gray t-shirt and I could see how buff his arms were.

"No it's my fault, I should have been watching where I was going..." his voice was deep and had a hint of western twang in his voice.

"Same here" I spit out trying to make words from out of my mouth. Dang I was near speechless.

He held the door open for me Fae and Jasmin. When I walked out there were three other guys, they were all freaking gorgeous! All looked about to be are age. We walked to my car and got in. There was a split second of silence and then we all bursted into laughter.

On the way home we talked about how hot they all were, I stopped each of them off and came home. By now it was about eleven o'clock and I creeped to my bedroom because everyone was asleep. Went to my bed and eventually fell asleep.
