Found: Book One

Chapter Eighteen

Dakota’s POV

The rest of the night Fae, Jasmine, Tobias, Tate, Damon, Dimitri, and I sat around talking about life and watching movies. All together we got a better, deeper connection with everyone, it was nice.

After about two or three movies in, and a couple bottles of alcohol later Jasmine groans. “It’s getting hard to keep my eyes open.” she says sleepily and she rubs her eyes, curled up on the couch with Tobias on her right and Fae on her left. I grab my phone to check the time

“We should head to bed guys, it almost two o’clock.” I say standing up stretching my arms. “I’m gonna go get ready for bed, I’ll be back down to say goodnight, k?” I say, first looking at the girls, then giving Dimitri a quick glance.

“Ok, sounds good buddy.” Fae says, flashing me a quick smile, and then going back to scrolling on her phone.

I walk up the stairs and walk into Damon’s bedroom. I change into black basketball shorts and a white v-neck t-shirt. I rummaged through my bag and find my face wash, toothbrush, hairbrush, and rubber band for my hair. I walk into the bathroom and do my nightly routine. As I’m washing my face I hear movement from behind me. I freeze. Wash my face super fast and without drying my face i look up in the mirror to see if anyone is behind me. I sigh with relief.

“You ass!” I say as I grab a towel to dry my face. “You almost gave me a heart attack.”and throw a towel at him. He catches it.

“What? Me? Scare you? On purpose? NEVER!” he holds the towel over his heart, like I just wounded him.

“Whatever!” I say as I push past him. “So, what did you come up here for, I know it was not to see me scared half to death.” I say.

He giggles “No, I was wondering what you were going to do tomorrow.” he says.

“I actually wanted to see if you wanted to go down to  my house grab a few things of mine, you know just so I can get out of your hair. You probably want your room back, and I think getting a room of my own would be good, you know, so I don’t forget my clothes again and have to worry to try to get my clothes on before a mister peaky-peakerson wakes up.” I say and shoot him a smile over my shoulder before we both start laughing.

“Hey, I don’t mind you staying with me,” he says “or being half naked either.” he adds wiggling his eyebrows.

“You’re such a perv.” i say hitting his chest.

He laughs “But no, in all seriousness I wouldn’t mind going to your house and help you grab a couple of things.” he says.

“Thanks,” I say “I’m gonna go say goodnight to the girls and I’ll be right back up.” I add right before I walk out the door.

As I walk down the stairs and round the corner I see Fae and Jasmine are sitting on the couch and Tobias and Tate are in the kitchen hanging out. I look to see if Dimitri was there, but he had left. I frown a little, but before anyone notices I smile again. I walk over to the couch to where Fae and Jasmine were sitting and give them a big hug.

“I love you so so much!” I say. “So you’re gonna stay with a boy?” I ask them. They smile and giggle a little. “Ok, but no horseplay!” I say in a stern ‘I’m your mamma, and you better listen to me’ kind of voice.

“But horseplay is the best kind of play.” Fae says and crosses her arms. I just look at her and smile.

“Whatever,” I say pushing Fae while laughing. “I’ll seeyou in the morning, love you!”
