She stood there rubbing her hair dry with the towel leaning against the metal railings beside the pool, focussing on the stands where her friends had sat when they would come watch her train for her swimming competitions. Emily swallowed hard, the tall athletic swimmer could just feel herself melt under her friends gaze. If she crosses and then uncrosses her legs again, I'm doing the right  thing by telling her she thought to herself as she tensed her hands, trying to act as though she hadn't noticed her sitting there in the stands. Then she watched, as if she were cued, as Aria switched legs. She gulped. She could do this, she'd always been told honesty is the best policy. After she'd had that school girl crush on Alison she promised herself she'd never speak about it again. Her eyes fixed to Aria, she watched as she inched her skirt up and made her way over to the metal railings where she was stood, this was her chance to come clean about everything. She took a deep breath.

"Em?"  Arias smooth voice pulled her out of her introspection. "Did you want to talk to talk to me about something? You seemed kind of stressed last night when I called"

She froze. Shit! What was she doing? I couldn't just blurt it all out, well not in a public place like this. It seemed impossible to come up with the right words. I'd  have to talk to Aria in private, hopefully she'd understand. Aria lifted her hand and placed it on her shoulder attempting to put her at ease. "Look Em no pressure you don't have to do this here, how about me and the rest of the girls come to your house later and we can talk then"?

Emily breathed out a sigh of relief. She knew she'd have to have the conversation with Aria at some point but as least she could put it off until tonight. As good of friends as her, Hannah and spencer were she didn't really want the rest of the girls to overhear what she needed to say to Aria. She couldn't let the group down though, not after they had stood by her side when everything with A kicked off.

"Uhhh...mm sure" Emily nodded, as she threw her jumper over her shoulders urged by a smile from Aria. How could she tell Aria everything when she found it hard to even have a conversation with her without turning red from embarrassment? No! This was it, it had to be done she couldn't carry on like this. She's been honest with herself and it's about time she did the same to Aria and  the others.
