"Mark Edward Fischbach, the love of my life, will you marry me?"
Jack looked up at Mark with pleading eyes. Although loud and quick bursts of fireworks exploded above them, to Mark and Jack the moment was slow and completely silent. Every breath was slowed down and every second felt like an hour.
"I..." Mark's jaw hung open as he stared at Jack. "What?"
Jack dropped character and glared at Mark.
"O-Oh!" Mark shook out of his shocked daze. "Is it too late to say yes?" A small smirk curled on his lips.
Jack stood up and wrapped his arms around Mark's neck, pulling him close and kissing him passionately. Mark felt Jack's happy tears stream down both of their cheeks. As if on cue, huge fireworks popped behind them for the finale of the firework show. Time resumed as a large, golden firework exploded and silhouetted the newly engaged couple.
They pulled apart and rested their foreheads together, staring into each other's eyes. Mark's honey eyes glowed happily, and Jack's oceanic baby blues glittered with tears.
"Why are you crying?" Mark asked softly.
"You doof." Jack chuckled. "Because I love you so, so much." Jack buried his face in Mark's neck and hugged him tightly.
Their family and friends clapped and cheered for the two, all except for one. Deciding that the night was finally done, everyone began to pack up their lawn chairs and picnic blankets to carry them back to the cars. Mark and Jack walked just a few feet in front of the group, Jack clinging on to Mark's arm and resting his head on Mark's shoulder.
Tannyr rushed past her mom to join the two, but her mother pulled her back. "Give them some space, sweetie." She held a hand on Tannyr's shoulder.
"I want to give Jack a hug." She whined.
"Let them be alone for a little bit." Aunt Erica sighed. Tannyr ran out of her grasp and caught up to Mark and Jack.
Jack felt thin arms wrap around his waist. He looked down to see Tannyr walking and hugging him. He giggled and hugged Tannyr back. Jack bent down slightly and let Tannyr climb on his back, giving her a piggy back ride as he walked along with Mark.
"I love you so much." Jack whispered in Mark's ear and hugged him. "Even if you kinda fucked up my proposal." He giggled.
"I still can't believe this is happening." Mark sighed dreamily. "I still can't believe I did that." He chuckled.
"You're a doofus, but that's okay. I still love you." Jack kissed Mark's cheek.
"Isn't that why you love me?" Mark asked.
"No, I try and look past that." Jack joked. Mark nudged him slightly, then Jack pushed him back. They continued their childish fight until Tannyr chimed in.
"I don't know if you guys can get married, you're not adults." She teased.
"I'm a child in an adult's body." Jack responded. "And Mark's an adult, he's just stupid." He stuck his tongue out at Mark.
"You just proposed to me and you're making fun of me! Do you like me or not?" Mark glared at Jack.
"Don't ask me that." Jack huffed.
"You dick." Mark laughed.
"Hey, maybe after we're married we can finally-"
"Not in front of Tannyr." Mark interrupted Jack.
"I go to public school, I know what you're talking about." Tannyr layed her chin on Jack's head. "Gross." Jack laughed.
"You came over here, it's your fault." Jack shifted her up higher on his back.
"Because I wanted to say congratulations." Tannyr reached over and ruffled Mark's hair.
"It's about time." Mark mumbled.
"You wouldn't hurry your ass up so I went ahead and did it, you dipshit!" Jack laughed. "But it's okay. I wanted to propose anyway. If you had proposed, I would've said no then proposed to you. You're not taking my glory." Jack giggled.
"Well, I was waiting for you anyway!" Mark stuck his tongue out at Jack.
"You were waiting for me?" Jack raised his eyebrows and looked at Mark.
"I've been waiting since we started dating." Mark smiled softly back at Jack.
"Am I ruining the moment?" Tannyr asked loudly.
"Nah, we're ignoring you." Jack joked.
"Rude." Tannyr scoffed jokingly.
"I'm kidding. You're cute, I love you." Jack hugged her arms around his neck. Mark smiled, imagining his boyfr- fiancé, alongside him as a dad.

Jack took off his clothes, leaving him only in boxers, and flopped back in bed. Mark sat next to him, plugging in his phone before turning to the other boy.
"I'm so exhausted." Jack groaned as he rubbed his tired eyes. Mark lay down next to him and pulled him close. Mark kissed Jack repeatedly all over his face, making Jack giggle.
"I love you so much." Mark sighed. He pulled the covers over them and snuggled up to his fiancé.
"I love you too." Jack sighed happily and held Mark close. "I love you so, so much." Jack kissed Mark's hair before nodding off to sleep for the night.

July 4th, 2020
"Time to get up." Someone said loudly as they swung open the door. Jack shot up, pulling the blanket over his shirtless torso. Mark woke up, startled by the person that barged in without knocking. Nathan turned around, leaving the door open rudely.
Jack hid underneath the blankets, leaving Mark to have to get up and shut the door. He slammed it loudly, frustrated and upset with Nathan.
"Sorry. He's a huge jerk." Mark groaned. He opened his suitcase and pulled out some clothes, then grabbed an outfit for Jack. Jack sighed, got out of bed, and got dressed.
"It's okay. It's just..." Jack paused.
"What's up?" Mark looked to Jack.
"Do we really have to deal with him until Tuesday?" Jack smirked and Mark chuckled.
"It's alright. He'll warm up to you." Mark pulled on his shirt then dug into his bag. He pulled out a comb and started brushing his curly, messy hair. "He's always been a dick to me. I think he's just looking for someone else to pick on." Mark handed the brush to Jack. "Although he's mean to me, he's always loved me. He's really protective of his family. He doesn't wanting me marrying someone off the street and bringing some idiot into the family." Mark rolled his eyes.
"He should've given me a chance first instead of just immediately hating me." Jack pouted. Mark pulled him in for a tight hug, running his hands through Jack's hair to calm him down.
"Hey, it's okay. I will always love you no matter what. I'm the one that matters, no one else." Mark rocked Jack slowly.
"I can't believe... We're going to spend the rest of our lives together. We'll be together forever." Jack smiled and hugged Mark tighter.
"I wouldn't want anything else in the world." Mark sighed happily.
