"Jack, you know what I want for Christmas?" Mark said for the millionth time, swinging their arms back and forth as they walked down the sidewalk.

"Let me guess..." Jack pretended to think. "A new camera?" He smirked.

"Nope." Mark tugged his beanie over his ears.

"Hmm... Another PlayStation?" Jack giggled.

"Nuh-uh." Mark grinned adorably.

"New desk?"
"No."
"A nice laptop?"
"Nopesies."
"That cool keyboard you showed me yesterday?"
"Nopey-nope."
"Overwatch shirt?"
"That's what you want." Mark and Jack both giggled.

"Ooh! I got it!" Jack gasped in fake realization. "Is it a puppy?"

"Yup!" Mark grinned happily.

"It's not like you haven't told me a million times already." Jack rolled his eyes.

"Just making sure you know." Mark rolled his eyes.

"You know what I want?" Jack snickered.

"What?" Mark looked to Jack.

"To get married. But you made me wait." Jack joked.

"You're so mad at me for that!" Mark rolled his eyes.

"I'm not mad at you, I'm just gonna be salty about it until July." Jack kissed Mark's cheek.

"I'm sowwy." Mark pouted.

"Baby, it's okay! I love you." Jack layed his head on Mark's shoulder.

"I love you, too." Mark layed his head on top of Jack's as they walked down the chilly sidewalk.

----------

Jack sat on the couch, holding his music notebook and staring at it like he was trying to set it on fire. He was wearing a sweater and was bundled up in two blankets. Mark sat at their fireplace, literally trying to set stuff on fire.

"Mark, what rhymes with kaleidescope?" Jack asked, resting the tip of his pen on his lip.

"Uh, I don't know." Mark stood up, watching the burning fire.

"Ah, fuck it. I don't care about rhyming." Jack giggled and scribbled down some lyrics. He closed the notebook and plopped it down on the glass table in front of the couch.

"Can I see?" Mark sat on the couch and leaned on his burrito friend.

"No, it's a surprise." Jack kissed Mark's lips. He opened up the blanket to invite Mark to snuggle. "Join the dark side!" He giggled. Mark snuggled close to Jack, scooping him up in his arms and hugging him tightly. Jack wrapped the blanket around themselves and leaned into Mark. He layed his head on Mark's chest and closed his eyes. After a few moments, he opened his eyes again. "Mark, we're in a... Serious relationship, right?"

"I mean, we live together and we're getting married, so I'd imagine so." Mark started playing with Jack's hair.

"So we can make serious couple decisions, right?" Jack hugged Mark softly.

"Yes?" Mark swallowed the nervous lump in his throat.

Jack paused for a moment.

Mark twirled Jack's hair around his finger slowly.

Jack took a deep breath.

"Should we get a big dog or a small dog?" Jack looked up at Mark. Mark's face immediately flooded from worry to excitement. Mark started babbling on about dogs happily, just talking about cute little puppers and smol doggos. Jack giggled and rested his head on Mark's chest as he listened, allowing Mark's voice to drift him to sleep.
