27 weeks, what?

"That cant be possible" i look at the nurse with wide eyes.

"Why not Lacey?"

"Well, me a jake only slept together a little over 21 weeks ago so it just cant be possible" i look over to jake who is currently blushing and laughing at what i just said.

"What seems to be funny Jake?" I ask grumpily.

He clears his throat and silences for a minute "Um nothing Lace" he looks at his hands, still laughing.

"Well lacey, it seems your baby is growing twice as fast as a normal baby then, it isnt a concern just yet but as soon as he gets to big he will have to be born, i'm thinking roughly in the next 3 months he will have to be delieverd"

I nod unable to speak, in the next 3 months jeez im only 4 months pregnant.

The nurse sreenshots Elijahs scan ready to print it off, it seems he looks more like his daddy than anyone, hes going to be absolutley adorable.

Walking through the reception hand in hand me and jake exit with confindence that is until i squeez Jakes hand alot tighter.

"What in the name of god were you laughing at Jake?" I say far more snottily than i expected.

"Well first of all its the first time ive ever heard you say you slept with me and second of all it was kind of cute" he replies, that answered my question.

"Jake, why do you make me feel, i dont know"i pause"why do you make me feel so safe"

"Because Lacey you are safe with me anytime and anywhere i will be there"

I hug him tightly letting him know that i appreciate what he has just said, i look up at him and take him by surprise when i kiss him on the lips.

I couldnt get the fact of my mind, Elijah-James is going to be born alot earlier than expected i suppose its a shock.
"Jake, are you the same as Layla?"i ask turning to face him in bed.

"How do you mean?" He responds.

"You know what i mean, dont act dumb" i mock.

"Well now i know what you mean, yeah i am"

I sit up trying to process it all, is he the reason why my baby is growing far faster than what is expected?

"So your the reason the babys causing so much trouble eyy? He's not even born yet and hes alread so much like you" i laugh, i generally couldnt be happier.

"Eyy you love it really Lace" hes actually right, i do.

"Yeahh, i love you" i cant stop the words escaping my mouth anymore, he freezes in the posistion hes in and a big grin takes over his face his smile literally touching his eyes, the same as in the hostpital when we found out we were having a boy.

"Thats funny Lacey, because-"he pauses"I love you too"

He grabs me and pulls me into his embrace softly kissing my lips making it so passionate.

I turn back to face the window, all of this has tired me out, i lay down and feel Jakes arms wrap around me, i wouldnt change a thing and with that i fall slowly into a deep sleep.
