Lacey's p.o.v
I wake up to to a baby crying, my baby boy crying. I cant believe that he's finally here, looking over to jake i see that he's still awake trying to calm Elijah down.
"Hey" i mumble, trying to get his attention.
Jakes eyes dart to mine, a happy expression plasterd on his face "Hey baby, Elijah's been good for daddy up until now, he must have known you were waking up"
I try to push my self up on the bed, i succeed finally getting to hold my little boy for longer than 10 minutes.
"Can i hold him?" I ask Jake, holding out my arms.
"Ofcourse you can"he says handing me the small baby.
He's so so perfect and looks just like his daddy.
I kiss the top of his head as his crying finally calms down, the nurse will probably come in to the room soon to see how i'm doing.

"He looks just like you" I look over to Jake and smile.

"You think?"

I nod, he's got his nose. I didn't know this feeling would be so overwhelming, I just have to wait now for my parents to come to see him. My mum and dad are still warming up to the idea that they are going to be grandparents and that their daughter is no longer a kid any more. They said that they would support me through it all, I just hope they don't change their minds and leave me just like jakes parents did with him. I feel bad for him i really do but if his parents try to make an entrance into Eli's life anytime soon i will sure as hell reject them, if they didnt want him then they aren't having him now.

"What are you thinking about" Jake ask's breaking me away from my thoughts.

"Its not important" I smile and take a deep breath "Besides, look at our little boy he's amazing"

3 hours later

Elijah's been asleep since his last feed 2 hours ago, i truly am so happy. Jake's asleep in the large chair beside me, I suppose he didn't get any sleep last night due to being awake with me and staying awake once the baby was born.

The nurse knocks on the door before entering causing Jake to jump out of his skin and wake up and causing the baby to stir in his sleep.

"Sorry for interupting, once we have checked through your charts Lacey you can go home" she smiles and exits the room.

With that i get up and walk to the bathroom which is attatched to my hospital room and switch on the shower so that it will get warm for me. I go to the toilet as quickly as i can so the flush doesnt wake the baby, the responsibility I have now is so overwhelming and i know that i keep saying it but it is true.

Once i've been in the shower I quickly dry myself and put on the clothes that I had put into my hospital bag, they are my converse tracksuit bottoms and a white vest top. My belly has returned back to its skinny self which surprised me seeing as how big i actually was towards the end of my pregnancy. It feels so surreal not having my bump anymore after having it for about 7 months, you get used to it you know.

I brush my wet hair and put it into a ponytail, when i enter the room again Jake is holding Elijah close to his chest with his bottle in his mouth. He really is a greedy little boy, I chuckle to myself.

"Hey babe" jakes says catching me of guard.
"Hey, looks like your used to this already"i say walking over to him and kissing him on the cheek, admiring the peaceful little boy in his arms.
