Chapter 1 ~ Introduction / Hailee Jackson

I hate being kidnapped. It's soo annoying. Like, you're minding your own business when all of a sudden, BAM! You're snattched away from everything. Your friends, your family-if you have any-your life, everything. Then again, I don't have very many friends and my only 'family' is an adoptive pig as a father. Yup. That's my life. Isn't it great? Note the sarcasm.

Now, for the not so depressing stuff. My best-and only-friends are Emerald and James Broyles. They are the most similar and different people that I have ever known. They both have curly, honey blonde hair and startling, intense grey eyes that I've always been jealous of. But that's where the similarities end. Since Emerald spends so much time with me at the beach, she's got a nice tan complexion, like me, but my tan is natural. James on the other hand, is paler than a ghost. He spends all of his time in the library or in his room, but every once and awhile, he'll come out and socialize.

If you're wondering about me, forget it. Let me out it this way, I'm not someone that a prince charming like Channing Tatum or Zac Efron or even Colton Haynes would consider beautiful or even pretty. My raven black hair falls in crazy, untamed, matted waves all the way down to about the middle of my back. My eyes are a weird shade of ocean moss green, with cloudy centers and bits of intense flecks piercing through the fog, and I'm short. Like, 5'5" short. Emerald keeps insisting that guys like short girls and that my eyes are a beautiful shade of sea green. Sometimes, she says, that there are storms swirling within my irises. But obviously that isn't possible. And I tell her that.

Most people would say that James, Emerald and I are the super shy and quiet bunch. That's funny. The twins and I spend our time doing weird stuff. Stuff that people probably wouldn't call fun. When James isn't reading and Emerald isn't messing around with music and when I'm not busy at my-uh-job, we do things like scuba diving with sharks and the longest marathons through London, England. We all take a martial arts class together. I sometimes barely manage to pay the expenses, since my step-father, Dave, won't pay any of it. So I work hard to come up with the money to stay.

One thing that I really never had time for was boy-bands. Big Time Rush, Backstreet Boys, Jonas Brothers, One Direction, etc. I never took much of a notice to them. But Emerald is a completely different story. She is absolutely obsessed with bands. Especially One Direction. So far, I've heard that she knows their exact birth dates, their blood types, their families, their old schools and so much more. She even has their finger prints! I mean, who does that? I don't judge her though. She's my best friend and she can obsess over whatever she wants to obsess about, and I can't stop her.

The only thing that James seems to ever do on his free time is study or read. I understand reading for about an hour every day, but come on. All the time? That's just overkill. Don't tell him I said that. If he found out that Emerald and I tease him between each other, he'll take the time to make a presentation, power point and essay on why reading is the best choice for using up free time. Trust me. It almost happened a long time ago. When we first met, James was reading on the curb and Emerald was lazily throwing a volleyball at him. I went up to them and asked why James was yelling at his book and what was so important about it. Emerald immediately dove after her ball and bolted to the other side of the park and screamed, "NO!! DON'T DO IT!!" After that I learned to never ask James about his books.

I guess you're wondering about my job... If not, just skip this. So, to put it bluntly, I'm an agent, or a spy whatever works for you. For about four years I have worked my way up the ranks of the agency that I was recruited into by my only good father/adultly figure and boss, Dean. But that's a story for another time. Moving on, enjoy the story of my life. (No pun intended.)

So this is the first chapter of the, new and improved, Boy-Band Disaster. I actually feel really bad that I didn't post this earlier, but I wanted to make sure that it was perfect. I know that there are some things that I could improve more on, but I thought that this was wayyyy over due. So I'm sooooo sorry and I hope you enjoy the new Boy-Band Disaster!

Peace out directioners and demigods!
