Zayn's POV:

It has been three weeks since Ghiel left us for that scumbag James. Her being gone left Luke a scar in the heart. He recovered from the gunshot a day ago. He wasn't really up for anything. He doesn't even act right.

================================

Last night, he went wandering out in the forest, but he didn't tell us and we got worried until we searched for him. He didn't wander that far and I saw him sitting on a log. The worst part is, he didn't notice that an enormous tree branch was about to break from the tree.

I shouted at him, "Luke get the fuck outta there!" He just looked at me, not even thinking that he needs to move fast since the snow is heavy and it can't hold much of its weight.
I heard the branch crack, I ran as fast as I can to Luke and pulled him away as the branch nearly fell on his head.

================================

And that's why Julia replaced Ghiel as our leader since no one wants to. She or Ghiel isn't that type of leader like James. They don't bark orders, they don't get upset when we didn't do some stuff right, they do it with us. Now that's what you call almost perfect...

I'm with Julia, Michael, and Sandra at this automotive shop, checking for survivors, walkers, and craps we need for the van. We split up into two groups, the other guarding the van and us for this. We then split up, with Sandra and Michael checking the perimeter while me and Julia get stuff.

Well, now I can talk to her.

"You holding back there?" I said as I walked to her near the counter and searched for some batteries. "Doing good I guess." She answered, beaming a smile as I looked at her frequently. I find myself doing that often. I just really want to make sure she's safe. Otherwise, I wouldn't forgive myself if she get hurt again. "When do you think this will all end?" I asked her as I took a deep breath. My question made her stop searching stuff, "Hmm, maybe if we're dead." she answered.

"I wish all of this didn't have to happen. But I guess we have to deal with this shit until our last breath." she spoke again while she continued looking for supplies again. That's what I always hear from everyone. Wishing this apocalypse didn't happen. Well, all we have to do is deal with it. We can't stop it, maybe, so we'll have to fight and fight.

"I'm mostly glad it happened." I said in a smile. She paused and looked at me, "You drunk, Zayniee?" I gave her a bigger grin. She walked towards me and said, "I told you no beer or something. " with her hands on my shoulder. "Nope. I met you that's why." I winked at her. Her head bowed a little bit and I could tell she's blushing. "I never fail to make you smile." I laughed. She punched me lightly and smirked, "Don't push it, bud."

Michael and Sandra returned from the back of the automotive, "We found some few gallons of gas back there. I think that's going to last for like a week or two." Sandra said. "That's great! Now, let's just park the van here and get them." Julia said and opened the door of thr shop, with the cold wind sending us shivers. Connor, Joyce, and Toby were all outside the van, without Luke. "Where is he?" I asked Toby. He tilted his head towards the van.

Good thing he's inside...

Luke's POV:

I just can't accept this... I don't feel like living anymore. I don't know what's my purpose. We were all living in hell but, it felt like I was in the deepest part of jt. The fire burning my lungs- bit by bit until it reached my heart. The world slowly fades away and the last thing I saw was you...

"Hello? Earth to Luke?" Someone snapped his or her fingers at me. I shook my head and massaged my temples, I figured it was Michael, "I'm sorry I was just... Anyways, find anything?" I asked. "We got some fuel back there and a few ammunition and supplies." He answered. Connor was upfront driving and parked the van near the automotive shop.
