The wind caressed my snow white hair softly as I looked around at the clouds zooming by.
A familiar voice broke through the silence.
"Remind me again what we're doing?"
I turned to see Bunny looking rather worriedly at North. Typical, I thought, that kangaroo's always been afraid of heights. On the other hand though, Sandy seemed to be having the time of his life.
"We're going back in time," North replied, keeping his full attention on flying the sleigh.
My head snapped up at North. "Back in time?" I repeated.
Bunny shrunk in his seat, still seeming a bit anxious, as Sandy looked over at him. "And why exactly?" Bunny asked.
I walked over to North as he snapped the reins.
"Because last night, a thief snuck into the pole. They broke into my secret snow globe room and stole a time globe."
I took a moment to process what he had said. "Time globe?" I mumbled.
North nodded. "Yes, a time globe. Not many of them exist and they are very powerful."
"So this thief can go wherever and whenever they want with this thing?" I asked him.
"Exactly. That's why we have to go back in time and catch this thief before they mess with the timeline."
I chuckled softly. "Finally a little fun!"
Bunny looked up at us. "But what about Tooth?"
Sand images of question about Tooth appeared above Sandy's head as he too was worried.
"No need to fret," North said. "Tooth had a bit of fairy business to attend to and I gave her a time globe in advance so she could meet us there."
Bunny, Sandy, and I nodded to each other before looking back at North.
"As for us," he continued, "luckily I was able to track the time period our thief has traveled to." As he spoke, he took out a snow globe. It resembled his regular globes except that where his originals where red, this globe was green.
"So we know when. We just need to know where," North explained to us. "Which means that once we arrive at the marked time period, we will have to do some scouting." He chuckled. "I figure it shouldn't be too hard given that most of us do our jobs around the globe in impossible time periods."
I held onto my staff a bit tighter, in preparation, as I watched North.
He shook the globe as an image of a forest appeared in it. "I say...the 1800s."
North threw the time globe into the air and a portal erupted.
With a crack of the reins, we flew off into it.
