Working for Earl Alois Trancy wasn't as bad as you expected. For some reason, unknown to you, you were the best-treated worker of his, besides Claude. Alois would never abuse you, he wouldn't force you to do anything, and he certainly treats you like family.

Today, you would find out why, unbeknownst to you.

Alois had called to talk to you privately. You were a little afraid. What had you done wrong? Was he finally going to hurt you? Or would he say sweet things or such?

You were about to find out.

"Ah, (Y/N)! There you are~!" Your master chirped. You curtsied to him.

"Good afternoon, Young Master. What did you call me for?"

"Ah, that." Alois stood up from his bed and grabbed your hands harshly, but didn't hurt you. "I'm promoting you."

"What, sir?" You were taken aback.

What does he mean?

"Promoting you. To my partner."

"I'm sorry, Master. I don't understand."

"You're no longer my maid, but my lover! Doesn't that sound marvelous?" Alois exclaimed, as if a young child had found money on the street.

To be honest, you had growing feelings for the young earl. You were thrilled.

"Young Master, I accept your promotion."

"Joyous! I must tell the others. From now on, you will be, not the server, but the served. Oh, I'm so happy, (Y/N)!"

"I'm happy as well, Ma--I mean, Alois, dear. You see, over time, I eventually began to fall in love with you..."

"Well, that makes things even more perfect! Have you ever wondered why I hired you?"

"No," you thought out loud. You were curious as to why he hired you and not anyone else.

"Because I love you."

Your cheeks went red. "R-Really?"

"Yes, and I feel so happy with you, dear (Y/N)!" He kissed your lips softly and briskly. Nonetheless, Alois was still a little jumpy. "Now all I need to do is arrange our wedding!"

"W-W-Wedding?!"
