The Wedding (Part 1)

Macarena's POV

What a beautiful morning in Sydney! I take the view as I sip on my coffee. Such a beautiful day for a wedding. A bit cold but perfect since the sun is shining on the bluest skies.

I smile as I listen to Jenny and Mario rant about Jenny's ex beaus while I'm on my hotel balcony just listening to my best friends and wondering Jamie's whereabouts.

He went out with Santi and the boys last night for Santi's bachelor party. I can only imagine the troubles those boys might have gotten into, specially in the company of all my cousins.

"Maqui?"

I look up to find a smiley Mario trying to bring my attention to him.

"I was asking you who your favorite is?"

"As in Jenny's beaus? Well, my favorite will always be Marc, after all, he's Max and Emme's father"

"Yeah... You're right"

Mario agrees with me while Jenny joins us in the balcony a bit exasperated.

"I don't know why we are having this conversation! The crew is here"

By the crew she meant all the hair and makeup people who are coming to help us get ready for the wedding. Dani had let them in. Dani and Matt arrived yesterday from London to attend the wedding. Their relationship is going strong. I think they might be the next in line to be wed. I hope Jamie and I are not too far behind.

I sit where Dani has asked me to, Jenny sits to my right while Dani to my left. Mario is getting a massage on the corner of the room and as we listen to Dani tell us how she felt when meeting Matt's parents in London I hear my phone announcing I've received a message. I ask one of the girls to pass me the phone and once I open the message I couldn't help the smile on my face.

"Jamie must have sent a nude or something for you to smile at your phone like that"

"Ohhhhh let me see it!"

Mario yells excitedly from his massage table after Jenny's comment which makes me laugh and shake my head no.

"It's not Jamie's"

I bring my attention back to the phone.

You might have forgotten about me, but I haven't. How is life treating you, honey pie? 😘

My smile grows at his nickname for me. He was full of them. I remember how much he used to annoy me.

"Are you gonna tell us who it is or are you going to keep smiling at your phone?"

"It's Chris"

I answer Jenny as I type an answer back.

Well hello there Captain! I guess you have missed me indeed 😉

Oh yes I have! I'm loosing weight here, I don't have my wench to feed me 🙇🏻

Oh poor you 😩
