***Hi guys! I've decided I'm going to play a song for every chapter and since this chapter is about the love Jamie feels for Dulcie, I've chosen Blue by Beyoncé. Enjoy!!!***

Vancouver, February, 2014

Jamie's POV

This is what perfection means, the most beautiful baby I've ever seen in my entire life, and she is mine! I can't believe I help creating her. My heart is full of love for this bundle of joy. My lovely baby girl is so blond that her hair looks like the sun itself gifted her with her golden locks, her skin looks so soft and flawless, and her beautiful blue eyes... they look just like mine and they're closed right now. My baby is in deep sleep, I can see her heartbeat in the monitor that is connected to her heart. It hurts to see how many machines are connected to my tiny baby, besides the heart monitor, she has an oxygen mask connected to her little nose, a vitals monitor hooked to her tiny foot, and what breaks my heart the most, a feeding tube. Dulcie's  birth was a difficult one. Millie had a C-section because Dulcie wasn't correctly positioned for a natural birth. My baby girl was born prematurely so her lungs weren't fully developed when she came to the world. From the Amniotic Fluid, she got pneumonia and now she's treating it at the Neonatal ICU.

As soon as I arrived in Vancouver, I came to see my baby, Santiago hasn't mentioned Dulcie's state so I wouldn't be extra nervous while flying here, and for that I am grateful, my phobia and anxiousness would have gotten the best of me and I wouldn't have been able to ride the plane without having a heart attack, specially without my Macarena next to me. I can't wait to have her here, next to me. I'm trying to be strong for both Dulcie and Millie but I need Maca to be strong for me.

Millie is a warrior, she has been an amazing mom, and she's just started. Her breasts are sore for all the pumping she's doing so Dulcie can be fed with maternal milk. The nurse has told her that her milk will help Dulcie's lungs to develop faster and getting rid of the pneumonia. So that's what Millie is doing pretty much, she's pumping every two hours and drinking lots of fluids meanwhile. Santiago is being a great supporter, he's even massaging her sore breasts, something I'm not proud to know, but sometimes I swear I think Santi forgets that Millie used to be my girlfriend and that I got her pregnant, he's so comfortable with me that he tells me deeds of their private lives with graphic scenarios and it is something I'm not too thrilled to know about.

I'm looking at my baby through the glass walls of the Neonatal ICU, I have been hanging here since I entered the hospital, there are times when the nurses close the curtains but I wait right behind the wall. By now I can distinguish Dulcie's cries from the other babies' so even if the curtains are closed, I know if my baby is well or not.

A tap on my shoulder brings me back to reality.

"Hey hermano! You need to eat. Let's grab a bite, Millie is resting and Dulcie will be okay"

"I'm not so hungry, but I'll come with you, I'd love some coffee"

"Man! Macarena is a bad influence, I swear you guys only live on coffee!"

I smiled at this, he's right, ever since I started living with my love, I've started to appreciate coffee, now I know the difference between Brazilian, Costa Rican or Indonesian coffee beans, I was never so attracted to coffee, I was more of a tea guy, but whenever she makes coffee, the smell and the excitement she irradiates is just too tempting to say no to.

Santiago's phone rang as soon as we stepped out of the lift.

"Alo?" (Hello?)

"Maca! Ya llegaste a Vancouver?" (Did you arrive Vancouver?)
