The final battle

Part 2

Ladybug/Marinette POV

The final bell finally rang for the students to go home. "Bye Alya." I said to my friend as I rushed out of the school. I ran all the way home to see my parents busy with costumes at the bakery. So I go upstairs and transform immediately to find Chat. "Tikki, spots on!" A second later I'm in my red  suit with spots. I climb out onto my balcony and whip my yoyo to the highest building I see and fling myself across street after street looking for that stupid Chat. I know we were suppose to meet at 9pm on the Eddie tower but this can't wait until then. I stop on a roof and look around. "Where's that Chat?" I mumble to myself. "Looking for me?" I hear a familiar voice say and turn around. Standing there was the blonde Chat in his black and leather suit spinning his baton with a grin on his face. "Finally, I've been looking forever for you!" I say in an annoying tone. "I know how to defeat Hawk Moth." I said so quickly that I wasn't sure if he understood it. But from his expression I think he did. "What? How?" He said shocked and stopped spinning his baton. "When the next akuma attacks, we will defeat it like we always do, but instead we will follow the butterfly to see where it goes, if it goes back to Hawk Moth, then we..." Before I could finish he cut me off. "We will have the advantage of surprise!"  Chat said in excitement. "That is if it goes back to him and we can't use our lucky charm or cataclysm, we can't risk us running out of time." I said. "Then we'll have to hope we don't have too, but...." He was interrupted by a loud crash. "What was that?" I asked looking around to see where it came from. "Over there." Chat said quickly as he pointed to the bottom of the Eiffel Tower where smoke was coming from. "I guess your plan will happen tonight." He said and we both started to run toward the smoke. I grabbed my yoyo and started swinging from building to building as Chat shot himself from roof to roof with his baton. When we arrived at the scene I looked for what caused the smoke, it was a 5 car pile up caused by... a tree in the middle of the road? "What the..." Chat began to say and I followed his gaze, there were trees and vines everywhere.. And I mean EVERYWHERE! It looked like a jungle, the streets were filled with trees and bushes. I could hear people screaming in fear but I couldn't see them due to all the trees. "Well, that's... new." Chat said and I nodded. "Okay so, where is the akuma?" I say as I look around and not seeing anyone but a couple people running around. Until I see someone standing on a tree and making it grow so fast it was as tall as the Eiffel Tower in seconds. "Ladybug, Chat Noir... Nice of you to show." This mysterious women says. She's wearing a suit almost like mine but with different shades of green and with leaves around her waist and her head. "Well since you know who we are I think it's only fair if we know your name." Chat says as he gets his baton ready. "I am Lady Nature. Now give me your miraculous or else.." She says and she pointed to one of the people that were running around and a bolt of green light hit him and turned him into a tree. "Well I think you get the picture." She says and grins. "All those trees, are people." I said as I get my yoyo ready. "Remember, don't use your cataclysm." I said to Chat and threw my yoyo at her but she made a tree grow bigger in front of her to dodge it. Chat and I race to the top of the tree where Lady Nature was but she was gone. "Chat..." I began to say. "Be the distraction while you get the akuma? On it!" He said and ran off. Silly kitty. Now, what could the akuma be in? I turn around to see Chat dodging her bolts of green light and swinging his baton at her. I get closer to see that she's wearing a necklace of a tree, that's got to be it! "Everyone must pay! No one has any respect for nature anymore!" Lady Nature yells as she tries to make Chat a tree. But instead she makes vines grow around his feet and ties them around him. On no, if I'm going to get her necklace, I better do it now. I swing my yoyo at her, trying to tie her up with it so I don't have to use my lucky charm. She bats it ways with a vine. Before I can swing it again another vine comes out of nowhere and throws me against something hard. "LADYBUG!" I hear Chat yell. "Cataclysm!" He says and the vines break apart. I stand up to realize she threw me into a car. While she has her focus back on Chat I throw my yoyo again, this time it wraps around her and I take her necklace and smash it on the ground, the akuma flies out. I fling my yoyo, "Time to de evilize!" I say as I capture the akuma. "Bye bye little butterfly." I say and rush over to Chat. "You're going to detransforme, I'll follow the butterfly." I say as I'm about to follow it before I lose it. "Wait my lady, what if something bad happens and I'm not there?" He said in a worry tone. "Don't worry I won't fight him, I'll just follow the butterfly. I promise." I say and follow it, leaving Chat behind.
