AN- The contents of this chapter will be a little different from exactly what happened in the book, but still mostly the same. :)

As they were walking around, Amy noticed a formation of eagles in the sky, and thought it was odd. "Hey Annabeth, look at those eagles. Weird, right? Most of the time when you see eagle they're really hawks so-"

"Oh, crap. Amy," Annabeth said, looking at the sky, "I'm sorry to interrupt your fun fact but those aren't you average eagles. They're Roman war eagles. Go get everyone to come back here. We need to run," Annabeth commanded.

Amy came back with the rest of the girls and Annabeth told them what was going on. They decided to take a backways route to the ship and alert the boys there. Annabeth remembered that Percy was in the water right now, talking to some whales or whatever, and realized that maybe- just maybe- she could contact him that way.

The group headed towards the coast and onto a dock. They were so close to the ship when the 6 war eagles descended in front of them, Octavian leading the herd. Upon seeing him, the whole group minus Amy knew what was going on. The romans were going to try and take them as prisoners.

"So, Greeks," Octavian said like it left a bad taste in his mouth. He almost tripped waking towards them and tried to play it off. It didn't work. "We've come to take you all as prisoners for what you did in New Rome."

"What happened in New Rome wasn't our fault! Leo was being controlled by eidolons, they're to blame!" Piper's charmspeak wafted away with the sea winds, making no effect on Octavian and his crew.

She looked around, confused, then Octavian said "Ah, ah, ah! We have wax in our ears! We can't even hear you. Ha. So there. Put down your weapons." Octavian looked so pleased with himself, he didn't even mind when Annabeth threw her dagger into the ocean. A few moments passed, then a huge wave crashed over Octavian and his crew. The eagles flew away, and the Romans were being held up by a tiny whirlpool about a quarter of a mile offshore. In the middle of a dock stood Percy.

"Hey babe, I think you dropped this." Percy said to Annabeth.

"I love you," Annabeth said before running to him and kissing him. Percy was not expecting that, so he staggered back a step before righting himself and putting his arms around her waist, pulling her closer.

Meanwhile, the others will still there, and watching. Percy and Annabeth were really going to town.

"Maybe we should go," Hazel said. She was still not used to this level of public intimacy, as this stuff never happened where she came from. And, although it was encouraging knowing her brother was getting some, Amy decided it was not something she wanted to watch either.

Hazel, Piper, and Amy headed back to the ship. They iris-messaged the boys to get them back to the ship and sat down on the couch.

Amy took a shower and put on some of Piper's clothes, seeing as she had had no time to pack. However, she realized this would become a problem very quickly. Here she was, on a ship headed for the Mediterranean Sea for who knows how long with one bra, one pair of underwear, one pair of shorts and one shirt. She didn't even have a toothbrush! So, after she was finished in the bathroom, she told Piper and Hazel she wanted to go shopping.

After 30 minutes of Piper complaining about how she thought shopping was boring, and another 30 of Hazel trying to figure out the digital map to see what stores were around, they finally left the ship.

They made it to a Target and got all of Amy's essentials (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, ect. Hazel was confused as to how they rang the items up at the register) then got to buying some clothes at various stores in the area.

"Hey Piper?" Amy said as they were looking through a rack of sweatpants, "Do you and Jason have a thing?"

"What kind of thing? Like, a romantic thing?" Piper returned, amusement creeping in to her words.

"Yeah, I guess. Do you guys like each other?" Amy replied, still oblivious to the slight giggle Piper and Hazel had worked up.

"I hope so. They've been dating for over a year!" Hazel laughed, picking up and putting down an orange sweater.

"Well, no one told me! Any other ship romances I need to know about? I think I have a pretty good handle on Annabeth and Percy- I got a firsthand look today on the dock," Amy walked to another rack and began looking.

"Ew, don't remind me," said Hazel, at the same time Piper said "Aren't they cute?"

"Anyways," said Piper, migrating to the scarves and hats, "I think you know everything. Me and Jason, Percy and Annabeth, Frank and Hazel." Hazel blushed profusely at this comment, but notably did not object. "Ready to check out?"

Amy left the store with 5 new bras, 6 new panties, 10 shirts, 7 pants, and 3 dresses ("To impress all the things trying to kill us," Piper had said.)

And now, as Amy plopped down on her bed and began to unpack, she wondered if it would always be this easy. All of the sudden, the ship jerked and a scream rang out through the cabins. Guess not, Amy concluded, running to the top of the deck.
