Cancer sat with her arms crossed, blindfolded in the passenger seat of her truck. Leo, the famous outlaw, drove silently.
Cancers mind wandered to the altercation with the bandits. When she had heard the bandits speak, she had taken off her blindfold to find out what was happening.
Instantly frozen at the sight of Leo surrounded by the bandits, her normally active mind drawing a blank.
Then, moving so fast her mind could barely register the movements, Leo had drawn his pistols and put a bullet through all 5 heads. Being a doctor, Cancer had immediately taken in the extent of damage to the corpses.
Largish, neat holes for the entry wounds, put right below the left eye. The exit wounds weren't even wound at all. The entire back of the head had blown off each of the men.
Cancer wasn't squeamish. She has seen many horrible things, but seeing the surprised expression on each of the bandits faces, with the back of their heads gone and brain spilling out was a whole new level.
The sound of gravel changing to sand pulled her from her thoughts. 'We must have reached the desert.' She thought.
"Leo?" Cancer asked. "What?" Leo replied, his voice a little irritated. Cancer cleared her throat and said," About the bandits...how did you do that?" Leo shifted in his seat before answering. "What do you mean?" Cancer sighed," You know, the whole, guns out bullets flying, bandits dead in the span of a second?" Leo's voice became gruffer," Years of the same thing over and over. I've taken so many lives, I lost count." Cancer heard the sorrow and grief underneath his tone. "Do you think your a murderer?" She asked. "Do you...see them?" Leo sighed," I have had dreams. Their faces as I cut them down, as I shot them to death. I never murdered anyone, but it's like I'll never be able to get these bloodstains off my hands." Cancer began to ask another question, but the truck squealed to a stop. She heard her door open, and someone grab her, bringing her to her feet. The air was cooler, and sunlight no longer showed through the blindfold. "Can I take this blindfold off now?" Cancer questioned. A female voice replied," Only when you enter the room Taurus is borrowing. You have to put it back on before you leave the room." A door squealed, and Cancer was shoved inside the room, the door screaming shut behind her. A voice, full of greed, came from the wall. "Cancer. How about we have a little talk." Taurus asked, his voice already making her angry. 'Oh crap. Here we go.' She thought, before removing the blindfold.
