A\N yes I know I havent mentioned Nurse Claire in awhile and I’m sorry I haven’t found a place to put her in. But I will write her in a brief scene in this chapter. But she is still important so don’t forget her. Oh how did you like how chapter 7 ended with Edmund and Lucy doing the tango? This chapter will start off with the competition then Luke and Lucy will be granted their biological mother’s name. Also we will see some bullying this chapter. And Edmund will have moved up to the secondary program so we will see how that goes. Also Luke and Lucy’s ruse won’t last the whole year from when they start school as eleven year olds to summer holiday. So prepare for the moment when things will fall apart. Will start out still in Edmund’s POV Enjoy.

It’s the day of the competition and now we are at St. Andrew's since they are hosting both. Lucy went over their early since her club's competition starts at 10 am. She left early to get their around 8. Im leaving now at 9:15. Since I providing my services as a dance partner. Then I have my official fencing uniform and the outfit I will wear for the sword fighting portion of it. I get there and head to the east auditorium where the ladies club competition is taking place. The fencing competition will be in the West auditorium. I am wearing my Sunday clothes and I check in where I see Luke checking in. He is wearing the same outfit he wore to on Sunday the black and red outfit. I am wearing a very similar outfit except mine is green and black. He sees me. “Hey mate.” He says. “Hello Luke.” I say and he gestures me over and helps me get checked in. “Luke would you like to dance with your twin or Sophia.” “Sophia of course it would feel kind of odd dancing with my twin.” “Understood.” The lady says. “Can I dance with his twin?” I ask. “Of course Mr?” “Its Pevensie. Edmund Pevensie.” “Of course.” She says writing that down. And she hands me number 24. She hands Luke number 21 which we safety pin to our coats. “Have a seat with the other dancing partners. Professor burns assistant will get you when it’s nearly time.” She says and we have a seat in this taped off section of the audience with the other dance partners.
Later
When it begins all the girls in the club are doing a show piece dancing together and in rhythm they are singing this song together. With some solos. So far these two girls obviously in the Secondary program cause they look to be about Susan’s age. Then Sophia sings. Her voice is lovely though I can’t tell if she is an alto or a soprano. Then Lucy is singing in her angelic soprano. And she closes the song. Then the girls are judged on various tasks. Such as needle point, setting up a proper table, something they have cooked. To how they walk and talked. Then they are judged on lady like talents. Both Lucy and Sophia sing a song. That show off their singing range. Then we are called backstage.

I can tell Lucy is surprised to see me. And quite frankly I’m surprised that Luke didn’t tell her since I told him on Saturday. Lucy looks beautiful red off the shoulder evening gown that is fitted. They have her wearing an adult gown. And I notice she has a slight chest. She is developing again. I notice that she is holding these red heels and she is two inches shorter than her brother. And I realize this is the first time I’ve seen them side by side. “Should we warm up while the others are taking their turn?” Luke asks. “Sure.” I say at the same time Lucy says good idea. We practice the five dances we will be judged on in two parts. The first half we will dance the Mazurka, Sequence dance, and the Lindy Hop that is popular in America. We also practice for the second half which has the Rumba and the Waltz. We practice all five of the dances till we can move in sync even though I am leading.
Later
It’s our turn we dance the Mazurka. And flow into the sequence dance smoothly. Then we pick it up when we switch to the Lindy Hop. She is smiling and having fun. It is a fun dance it feels almost like a game. With all the lifts and flips. It is rather fun. Then we go back stage and go over the Rumba and the Waltz again. Then we wait for our turn.  Then we go onstage and perform the passionate Rumba. Which is nearly as passionate as the tango. But I soon give into to the passion in her eyes. And it was almost like making love. But not quite.  Then we slow into the Waltz. The passion subdued but not gone. Dancing the waltz was still a loving affair it just wasn’t as boldly passionate as the Latin dances. When the music stops I almost kiss her but I stop myself just in time.
