Chapter 6. The Way To Belltone Bay

We pulled up to the used car lot and I stepped out of the car.

I decided to walk around the lot searching for a car, while Morgan went inside the building and searched for his friend Cody, the owner of the car lot.

I had found a couple of cars I liked, a old 60's volkswagen bug and a 80's jeep, but they were both a little out of my price range.

"Caylin this is Cody. Cody this is Caylin," said Morgan.

"Hi, how's it going?" Cody asked.

"Good how are you," I asked.

"So did you find one you liked" Cody asked.

"Yeah I found a couple, I like the jeep and the bug, a lot," I said.

"Well the jeep is $1,200, and the bug is $800" said Cody.

"I really like the jeep," I said with a smile on my face.

(The jeep had a small lift kit and was painted a cherry red color, which was faded.)

"That looks pretty cool, it just needs some bigger tires," said Morgan while pointing to the jeep.

"I like it I just dont have that much money," I whispered to morgan.

"Well maybe I could loan it to you untill you could pay me back," said Morgan.

"No I cant let you do that, your already working two jobs," I said with a assured look on my face.

Morgan gave a devious smiled and then asked,

"Well is there anything wrong with it?"

"Uhhh well it did have a transmission problem but I changed it out with a new one, so as far as I know, everything should be fine" said Cody.

"Ok are you willing to come down on the price any" I asked.

"I mean, I dont know, maybe a little" Cody said while nodding his head.

"Could you do $800?" I asked.

"Ugg I dont think so, I cant really go any less than $1,000, im only going lower because I know you guys," said Cody.

"Is this what you want," asked Morgan.

"Yeah but I dont have enough money," I said.

"We'll take it!!" said Morgan.

"Ok ill go get the keys and your title," said Cody.

"Morgan why did you do that? I told you, you don't need to spend your money" I said.

"Its only $350, caylin, you can pay me back" said Morgan with a smile.

"Ok here you go, here's the keys and the title, if you could just sign here. Annnnnnnd here, and date it on the bottom," said Cody.

"Ok here you go," I said while handing Cody the money.

"Ok, thanks Cody, see ya later," Said Morgan.

"Yeah see ya, thanks!" said Cody.

"We are car people aren't we?" I said to Morgan.

"yesssssss," said Morgan.

"Thank's Morgan, I'll pay you back, honest," I said with a big grin.

I pulled the top down on the jeep and put the side doors into the back. I scooched up into the jeep and turned on the ignition and the started the engine, Morgan had to drive his own car back so I pulled out of the used car lot and began to drive down the highway back towards my house.
