"I'm kinda nervous, 'cause I think all her friends hate me. She's the one, she'll always be there. She took my hand and I made it I swear."

"Come on, Cal..." She said dragging out his name.

Jules was currently pulling Calum through the mall to go meet her friends at Olga's. It's not that he didn't like her friends, he found them to be quite nice, it's just that he felt like they didn't feel the same way about him.

"I have to go get new skinny jeans, Jules." Calum said making up an excuse to get out of an awkward hour or so with his girlfriend's friends.

"You have enough pairs of skinny jeans, now come on!" She tugged at his arm.

"Fine, but only for half an hour." Calum stated.

"Mhm, sure." Jules giggled.

They walked past stores with Calum's hand on the small of her back, leading her through the crowds of angsty teens. When they got to the restaurant, Jules spotted her friends and rushed towards them.

Calum felt very out of place as Jules was currently getting swung around by one of her friends. He slowly made his way to the table, occasionally looking up from the floor.

"Guys, you know Calum." Jules said after she was done greeting the females.

The group of girls mumbled a few "Hey's" and started chatting about clothes and boys. Calum just zoned off and people watched until his phone started buzzing in his pocket.

He checked it and saw that his buddy, Luke, was calling. Calum excused himself and went to go answer the call.

"Hey man, what's up?" Calum asked.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go to the mall with me to get a few new pairs of skinny jeans?" Luke questioned.

"I'm at the mall right now, I'll meet you at Hollister." Calum laughed.

"Alright, see you then." Luke ended the call.

Calum walked back to the table. When Jules noticed his return, she looked up and gave him a wide smile. She was happiest when with her best friends and Calum hated that he came between them.

"Who was that?" Jules asked Calum.

"Oh, just Luke. We're gonna go get jeans. So you just stay here and text me when you want to leave." Calum said while grabbing a few snackers off her plate and kissing her forehead.

As he was walking out, he felt a small hand on his shoulder. He turned around to be greeted by Jules looking at him with a disappointed face.

"Why don't you like them?" She whispered as her voice cracked.

Calum frowned at her as she saw her brown eyes glaze over with tears.

"They don't like me. They give me occasional weird looks, but they mainly just ignore my existence." Calum sighed.

Jules grabbed Calum's hands and looked into his big eyes. She leant in and planted a kiss on his plump lips.

"I've kinda noticed that too, but I don't care. I really like you and their opinions won't change that. Understand?" She asked.

Calum nodded, "Yeah, I understand."

She giggled at him and wrapped her thin arms around his waist.

"Okay 'Mr. Punk-Rock', go get some new skinny jeans." Jules joked.

Calum pecked her nose and walked out the exit as she went back to her seat. They both had huge grins on their faces.

Calum strolled into the store as Luke was stepping out of the dressing room.

"Cal!" Luke yelled.

"Luke!" Calum mimicked.

They both laughed and shared a bro hug.

By the time they had finished their shopping, Luke had almost peed his pants on multiple occasions. Calum decided to try on red skinny jeans at one point and Luke reacted as if he'd never seen anything funnier.

They went in separate directions and Calum made his way back to Olga's. As he was passing PINK he felt someone jump on his back and was comforted with a familiar warmth. He immediately recognized who he was carrying so he didn't bother putting the body down.

He had walked all the way to the car when Jules' feet finally touched the ground. She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek as she got inside the car. Calum walked around the automobile and got into the drivers seat.

They pulled out of the parking lot as Jules turned on the radio. 88.7 was having a Green Day marathon all day, so they screamed the lyrics to their favorite songs the whole way home.

I'm not really a big fan of this chapter but I have a good idea for the next one so I'm excited for that. - Mads
