"Are you excited?!"
I shrugged.
"Come on Rudy, this is the biggest game of the season, Your very own Blacksburg Wildcats Vs. The South Carolina Hogs."
Walking into the stands looking down at the lit field I saw two teams a black, gold and white team (wildcats). And a black grey and red team (Hogs), and from what Flan told me is this is the schools rival, they stole our mascot a few years back, teepeed the school, vandalized out field. Sitting next to Flan who was all decked out in our schools colors, down on the field I saw Michael and a few other guys I have classes with, as well as the cheer squad.
In the stands though was most of the marching band, the athletes students and friends, as well as some teachers oh and peaches and Aunt Viv.
"You guys having fun?!"
Peaches walks over plopping down in front of us as well as aunt Viv who was munching on a hot dog.Sooner or later it was half time and the football players and cheer leaders came up to grab a quick snack or drink, flooding the stands. As they all said hi or chatted with people, Flan saw it as an opportunity to scout out some cute guys.
"What about red head?"
"No-"
"Ooh the blonde one over there, you-"
"Flan, how about you find yourself a guy, I'm not looking right now."
I said chuckling leaning back. Flan shrugged, standing up.
"I'm getting a drink want anything?"
"Coke please."
"Gotcha."
She smiled walking away down the ramp, aunt Viv and peaches walked to the bathrooms, leaving me all alone.
"Hey there Stiff"
Looking up saw Michaels face.
"Good game!"
I tried to act like I had actually been paying attention.
"Well it's not over just yet, you came by yourself?"
"Oh no Flans here and other people."
He chuckled.
"Michael?!"
We bother turned seeing a man walking over.
"Oh Gertie this is my dad Ben, dad this is Gertie."
He took a double take of me, brushing off that face that Michael introduced us.
"Come on Son stop dilly dallying you've got a game to play."
"But-"
"No buts let's go."
He grabbed his arm tugging him away.
Michael and I were cool, but neither of had mentioned the " The drunken expedition." Last week. But like I said I doubt he remember, but I did and it was kind of bothering me, considering what he said.
Walking over was Flan who hadn't just bought two sodas she also bought a hot dog and some skittles. Then aunt Viv with Peaches, who also had food, sitting there I just shook my head.
"Anybody get anything for me?"
They all looked at me while they stuffed there face, looking at each other the all shook there head no. I chuckled.
"I'll be right back."
Standing up I walked over Flan and down the ramp to the concession stands, standing in line behind a few football players I get a tap on my shoulder. Turning around I saw Bethany and Sasha, arms crossed, and resting bitch face in there faces.
"Hey there New girl, how are you liking Blacksburg?"
I shrugged.
"The names Rudy and it's okay."
Turning back around I heard one of the scoff, feeling a tap on my shoulder once more, slowly turning I bit my tongue.
"Now has your momma ever taught you not to turn your back on someone who's talking to you."
"Must not because I know my momma would I slapped me."
Sasha answered Bethany following with a small group chuckle.
I batted my eye lashes at the two.
"Oh what do you want me to do get down on my knees and pray to God for your forgiveness?"
I smirked turning around.
"You bitch."
I turned around.
"Now did your momma teach you that it's not good to curse, you know it's not lady like."
"Oh I ought to."
She got in my face and I stood there smiling, then someone gentle put there hands I between us.
"Come on Beth, leave the girl alone, go pick a fight with someone else."
Looking over I saw a boy who I had a few classes with but didn't really know all to well.
"What ever."
Her and Sasha walked away, looking who had just spoke was a brown eyed, brown haired, stranger.
"Thanks, I'm sorry i-"
"What you just did, standing up to her was amazing, I have never seen anyone do that. The names Steven but most people call me Stevie P.
"Stevie P?"
"Steven Phillips."
"Oh, and actually I think I have science with you."
He looked up, I guess that was his thinking face.
"You know your right!"
I smiled.
"Well thanks again Steven."
He smirked.
"Anytime??"
"Rudy."
"Rudy, I like it."
He screamed as he ran to the field as the whistle went off.
After buying my hot dog and making my way back to my seat next to Flannery, the game got intense the hogs were a six points ahead and then we mad a come up, but it was back and forth, back and forth, neck and neck.
Sitting there on the bench talking to Flan, I looked I over seeing Mr.Brady walking over. Kicking aunt Viv slightly in the back, making her look back at me I smiled turning my body.
"Hi Mr.Brady!"
She looked over smiling.
"John."
"Hey, Rudy.... Vivian."
"Did you just get here because I haven't seen you?"
"Actually I have been, but I was walking around introducing -."
"Oh there you are Johnny, I lost you back there-"
My heart raced a bit as a pretty black haired, blue eyes women walked over shaking my hand.
"Oh, sorry Hi I'm Claire-"
"Claire?"
My aunt spoke up taking her hand shaking it firmly.
"Yes, Claire is -"
"I'm his fiancée."
She giggled then showing us her left hand, and man was that a pretty rock she had there. My heart sank for my aunt Viv as she put on a fake smile.
"Congratulations, now if you excuse me-"
He buzzard went off ending the game, with us winning by a field goal.
"I'll be in the car Rudy."
She walked off with Peaches standing next to me.
"Uhh, yeah meet you at he car Rudy!"
She rushed off following aunt Viv, Flan was just as shocked, had not saying anything.
"Well congratulations."
"Thanks you!"
She laughed, Mr.Brady looked back, off in the direction my aunt had ran off in.
"Well I'll see you around Rudy, bye Flan."
He smiled a little bit walking off, standing up I shook my head.
"Poor aunt Viv, just when she thought she was going to get her man back."
Flan said walking away, following her to the parking lot I heard someone call my name.
"Gertie?!"
Turning I saw Michael
"Hey!"
"Hey, sorry about my dad, football is his life and -"
"Michael?!"
"Well gotta go, see you around."
He smiled rushing off.
Flan elbowed me as we reached the car.
"Stop that."
"Come on you know you-"
"No, we're just friends."
Sliding into the car, my aunt was silent and turned the radio up all the way, rolling the windows down, pulling out of the garage I saw Michael getting in his car.
"Eww who likes Miley Cyrus."
Peaches yelled changing the station to country.
I laughed as aunt Viv and here went at it.
