Chapter 3:

Violet stood there listening to the council worker giving them instructions. He was teaching them how to approach people and how to convince people into coming to some even that they were doing. Since Violet really wasn’t bothered listening to what he was blabbering about, she wasn’t really on the wave. So when he got to the stage where he said they had to spilt up, her head shot right up.

“Kyle and Violet can go to the shopping centre and the rest of you can go to the beach.”

“Wait no way! I would go with anyone else other than him!” Violet protested and the rest of the workers in the pristine office gave her death glares for disrupting their peace.

“The feelings are mutual,” Kyle added

“I am only doing what I am advised to do,” said the council worker.

“Well now that everything is settled and we know where to go, take these flyers and had them out. Every single one of them. Trust me I would know if you chuck them out,” he said whilst handing each one of them out about 100 flyers.

The walk to the shopping centre was silent. Violet didn’t speak because she was planning multiple ways of killing him. She thought maybe she could shove his dead down a garbage bin and he would end up dying from the revolting smell. Then there was the other one, that when they walked past a group of extremely buff guys, she would scream ‘rape’ and they would bash him up until he was dead.

She was so consumed in her thoughts that she hadn’t realised that they had already arrived at the shopping centre.

She looked around and the place was filled with all middle aged people since the bottom ground was for grocery shopping.

They both had the same mindset as they walked right into the elevator and went to the fifth floor, where the cinemas where located.

When they did get out form the lift it was Kyle who spoke out first. “We spilt up for 10 minutes and hand out some flyers and then meet back there at the ramp there.”

“That seems like a plan,” said Violet.

They spilt up and went different directions. Violet looked down and saw that like 98% of the people her where wearing thongs. This contrasted with all their designer clothes. She felt completely out of place, with her marron vans and short denim pullovers matched with a plain white top.

She went around and handed about 20 flyers, most of them seemed really interested about it. It was apparently a surfing event that was coming up and the prize money was a lot and looking at these people they all looked sporty.

She went to the ramp, to find that Kyle was already sitting there. She sat down next to him and they silence was there again.

It was about five minutes later when Kyle spoke up.

“Sorry.”

His words confused Violet.

She turned her head around so she was facing him.

“What do you mean?”

“I am sorry for dragging you into this.”

“What is done is done.” Violet didn’t want to continue with this subject anymore because she knew if they did she end up burning him with all the built up anger inside of her.

“But...” Kyle began but Violet cut him off.

“Just drop it.”

“Fine.”
