Violet pulled out of the classroom feeling almost dead, she had just came out of her legal studies class and was trying to remembering why on earth she had chosen it in the first case.
She was halfway towards her locker, when two strong arms came in from behind her.
“Hey there stranger,” she said looking Adam right in the eyes.
“We need to talk,” Adam said with creases on his forehead.
Violet took a deep breath in, when a guy said something like that they usually meant that they were going to tell they didn’t want to be with you or confess that they were cheating on you. So either way they were going to break up with you.
“What’s wrong?” Violet said coming off a little concern when in reality she was extremely concerned.
You see Violet believed that Adam was her prince charming and all. She had a crush on him since Year 3 and it wasn’t until Year 9 that Adam had finally asked her out. They had been together for two years and Violet wasn’t exactly ready to wake up from this dream. Adam look were a bit over average looking with his soft chocolate brown hair, slight muscular built from playing soccer and the ocean blue eyes could get anyone fooled.
“Well, you know this summer...”
“Yeah...”
“Well my parents want the family to go up to our beach house for the summer and I am not exactly keen on leaving you here, so I was thinking if you would want to go.”
Violet let out a deep breath of both relief and annoyance. She loved Adam and all but she wasn’t really prepared spending the whole holidays with him. She was just really planning on sitting home all day in her room and surfing through tumblr whilst eating tubs of cookie dough ice-cream. Knowing Adam’s sporty family that wouldn’t be happening if she went with them.
“I am not exactly sure. I am going to have to ask my parents about it. I mean it just not a couple of days it a whole 6 weeks.”
Truthfully when it came to Adam her parents really didn’t care. But the problem was Violet really didn’t want to go and pouring it on her parents would really sound more reasonable.
“Okay you talk to your parents about it and maybe you could go out with me tonight to the new Italian restaurant.”
“Dinner I can do and I sure will ask my parents about the holidays.”

Her parents where sitting comfortably on the sofa whilst watching the cricket.
“Might as well get it done with right now,” She thought.
“Hey mum. Hey dad. Can we talk?”
“Yeah sure honey,” answered her Dad.
“So for this Summer Adam’s family are going up to their beach house and he wants me to go with them.”
“Honey, if you’re asking me to help you pack. Then I sure can help,” her Mum said a little too enthusiastically.
“No, no that wasn’t what I was looking for. I was counting on the fact that you would turn into normal parents and say that they would in no circumstance want let me leave with my boyfriend for the whole of the summer holidays. It would be a devastating effect..”
“Wait, wait so you don’t want to go,” Mum asked.
“No mum I don’t wanted to end up playing sand soccer the whole holidays and seriously hanging at with the boyfriend’s family for the whole holidays would be too much work. Why do that when I could just be on tumblr all day, spending time with people that are just like me.”
