Chapter Seventeen

*Aiden's P.o.v*

I embraced my sister in a hug before walking outside to notify our pack members of gaining Millie back in our safety.

I let out a howl of victory before the pack joined in.

They all crowded around me and instantly relaxed. They all look worn out. In total we lost nobody but a few are seriously injured and are now being treated by the pack doctors.

"Find the cells and release everyone in them and bring them to me" I commanded I didn't use my alpha tone as there was no need just yet.

Soon enough members brought back the prisoners and that's when a smell hit me like a tonne of bricks it smells of strawberries and lilac an odd combination but nothing I wouldn't get tired of having near me. I followed the scent to only come face to face with one of the prisoners who instantly cowered away from me. This caused me to look away not wanting to show my annoyance. I knew this girl was my mate I can feel the pull. I let out a sigh as I picked her up bridal style and simply walked away after telling the members to have the others seen to by the pack doctor when they were free.

The girl in my arms was beautiful, she had grey eyes that are staring right into my soul. Her hair was black and went up to above her bum. I could run my hands through it all day and god damn it her lips. I stared at her lips intently as she swiped her tongue out to moisturise them this caused me to adjust her in my arms slightly causing her to blush.

"What's your name, sweetheart?" I spoke as softly as I could whilst rubbing my thumb over her arm enjoying the feel of the sparks.

"E..Evangeline my names Evangeline but...p- people call me Eva" she stuttered out nervously.

"Evangeline I love it I'm Aiden." I smiled down at her softly when a small yawn escaped her mouth making me chuckle. This caused her to blush and hide her face in my chest.

"Sleep love I'll wake you when we are home" I assured her and soon enough she was asleep in my arms. I took this time to take her body in noticing the scars and bruises all over her. It saddened me that I wasn't here to protect her.

I walked back to the mansion and noticed Millie, Zachary, Ally outside waiting I couldn't see my father anywhere nor Damien.

"Who's she" someone spoke and it was none other than Ally.

"My mate" I smiled down at my sleeping mate before looking at Jayden noticing his arm was securely around Millie.

I gave her a questioning look but she didn't notice instead she was looking at my mate.

"Evangeline" she gasped as she ran to my sleeping mate.

We were all confused. Me mostly.

*Millie's P.o.v*

Evangeline was my brothers mate, I'm happy for her she at last found him. Little did my brother know she knew before he did.

"You know her Millie?" He asked me with curiosity laced in his tone.

"Yeah. I saved her from rogues a while back. She belonged to our neighbouring pack at the time". I began feeling tears well up in my eyes at seeing a friend of mine again she looked better than I did though but for her to end up like this was enough to have me charging to where my father and Damien was with Rick.

I ran like my life depended on it he has to pay for what he done to her and I needed to find my other 'brother'. I heard Jayden shout out my name behind me as I heard his footsteps close behind me.

Tears were falling furiously from my eyes as I ran faster up the stairs and along the corridors. Soon Jayden caught up to me as I tripped. I was inches away from a shard of glass in my face when he caught me and spun me around pressing me against his chest where I sobbed uncontrollably.

"Please be careful love I lost you once i won't lose you again. Now tell me what's wrong?" His voice was pained as he spoke about losing me.

"He needs to pay..." I whispered shaking with anger. I pushed away from Jayden and began walking to my destination picking up the glass shard as I did so with Jayden hot on my heels.

I finally got to the room he was in and swung it open. Father and Damien's head turned towards me and confusion was written on their faces as well as shock. My whole body was burning. But I didn't care he needed to pay.

"Millie what are you-" he was cut off by Jayden.

"She needs to do this" I smiled thankfully at him as I saw my father an Damien step away from Rick.

His body was slumped against the wall as he looked at me and smirked. I tightened my grip onto the glass shard before aiming it at his chest.

"You can't kill me all the time my mark is on you, bitch." He spat a load of blood out as he spoke. Anger boiled inside of me.

"I can deal with that right now then" Jayden growled as soon I was pushed up against the wall as he traced kisses down my neck sending the loads of sparks through my body. I missed his touch like this. When he got to the spot where his mark should be he extended his canines and bite into my neck over Ricks mark. It hurt like hell but it was needed. Soon enough he pulled away and smiled at my neck proudly. I was drained. Jayden noticed and lifted me up bridal style and placed me in Damien's arms as he took the shard from me and shoved it into Ricks chest. Soon his body slumped to the ground lifeless.

"That's for hurting the people I love, bitch!" He spat at the now lifeless body before taking me back into his arms and all of us walked out where the others were waiting.

Soon as the pack members caught sight of me roars of victory was let out and soon we all headed home.

I was still in Jayden's arms slowly drifting of to sleep but just before darkness consumed me I'm sure I heard him say 'I love you Millie'
