Chapter three

Chapter 3: No means no

When I got home from my first day at school I wasn't prepared for what i was about to be welcomed with. I walked in to find my dad yelling into his phone.

My dad was the Alpha of Crimson Moon Pack. He was about 6ft"8, he put his hand through his silky black hair in frustration. His eyes were a dark black instead of his ocean blue eyes. This told me that his wolf was trying to surface.

"I want every good warrior outside in FIVE minutes... Understood?" he yelled into the phone making me cower and cover my ears.

When my dad turned around he saw me and a look of worry flashed through his eyes. He walked over to me and placed his hand on my cheek before he left the house slamming the door as he did so.

I went to find my mother in the kitchen looking like she was about to break down in tears. I walked over to her and placed my hand on her cheek. She looked at me and smiled. The smile showed so many emotions but mainly fear.

''Mom, what happened?'' I asked with a touch of worry in my voice. She placed her hand on mine and closed her eyes, as if she were debating whether to tell me or not.

''One of the neighbouring packs have declared a war on us sweetie. They were Allies with us for over 100 years. Your father tried to be reasonable, he doesn't want to go to war but it's our only option. They threatened to get..y...you'' My mother had tears running down her cheeks. I quickly wiped them away and gave her a hug, trying to calm her down.

Deep down i knew everyone were after me, My wolf is the rarest. I've been targeted before but they were by rouges. I've never been targeted by a neighbouring pack that was an ally.

I pulled away from my mom telling her she needs to get some rest. I left her and went out to find my father. I wanted to fight in this war and i wasn't going to take no for an answer.

I ran out the door to search for my father. I ran deep into the west border when i heard a scream. It was a scream of pain. A scream that only belonged to my best friend Eve. I didn't stop to think, i ran in to the direction the scream came from. As i got closer the smell of blood was evident. I scrunched up my nose and shifted to my wolf, I could tell my best friend Eve was close by and so was... Rouges.

When i got to where i heard the scream come from my eyes went wide at the view that was in front of me. My best friend Eve was being tortured right there by two rouges. I growled. Soon their heads snapped towards my direction and gave me a wolfy-grin. I growled again and then looked at my best friend.

'What are you doing here!?!' She screamed through mindlink. I was shocked at her for a second by then realised i couldn't focus on her so i blocked her out and concentrated on the two rouges who were in front of me. Soon enough they began to attack. I read all of their moves and with a clear shot i growled and attacked one of their necks, snapping it and killing them instantly.

I looked at the other wolf who was shocked at how quickly his pack mate was now stone cold on the ground. Dead. He growled at me and i growled back. He tried to go for my neck for instant kill but i saw right through it and bit his shoulder. He whimpered in pain as he tried to get his balance. I decided to mindlink my father.

'Dad, can you hear me?'' I was panting from dodging the other wolfs attacks.

'Millie! Where are you!?!' He was concerned of my safety for two reasons. One i was his daughter. Two my wolf is rare.

'That isn't important right now, but i'm fighting a rouge who attacked Eve. Should i keep him alive or kill him like the other one?' I didn't give my dad any time to cut in.

Just when my dad was about to say something through the mindlink the rouge made a move. He lunged at my leg, and biting into it. I let out a scream as the pain coursed through my body making me kneel on the ground. I was still in my wolf form but if i wasn't careful now i could turn into my human form and be at risk, so will Eve.

'Millie!! Hang on i'm sending two of my men in your direction, try keep the guy alive as well' He commanded using his Alpha tone.

I blocked my father out after that and focused on the rougue in front of me. He was grinning at me. He looked like he was enjoying this.

I tried getting up but fell to the floor again, I growled at him as he took a step closer to me. I noticed he was back into his human form with a pair of white basketball shorts on. He paused and went towards Eve. He grabbed her silky brown hair making her scream in pain as a tear rolled down her cheeks. I was furious, he's just tormenting her. I know i was meant to keep him alive for questioning but i couldnt help but act.

I got up growling furiously at the rouge, He didn't even flinch or let Eve go. He placed his hand on her cheek and made his way down her neck. I heard footsteps from behind me knowing who they were. I lunged for the rouge but was stopped by my dads warriors he had sent. The rouge dropped Eve on the floor and ran but one of my dads men soon caught him.

After bringing Eve to the pack hospital i went to find my father, knowing him he'll be in his office. And i was right. I walked into his office and slammed his door. He looked up at me, he was about to speak but i cut him off.

''I want to fight, i won't forgive them. They're just tormenting us and our minds.I know you'll say no because i'm a rare wolf but i don't care. I. Will. Not sit here and watch helplessly while everyone else fights. Its my fault for having a rare wolf and i'm sorry it couldnt be a different colour. Now i will fight whether you like it or not Father!'' I slumped down into a chair oposite him and noticed he was shocked by my sudden outburst.

''Millie, you're not fighting in this war, i'm sorry but i need you and your mother safe. If anything happened to you i don't know what i would do to myself. I need something to come back to, and if you and your mother are out there fighting and get hurt or even KILLED!!..'' He began to raise his voice which didn't scare me one bit. I stood up clenching my hands into fists by my side. ''You might hate me for this but, You. Are. Not. Fighting. End of'' He was about to walk out before i stepped in front of him with determination in my eyes.

''I will not stand by and watch people die knowing i didn't do anything to help them. So i am fighting! You say you don't want to lose me or mother but I have brothers too or did you forget!" I raised my voice at him this time making him step back.

''NO MEANS NO NOW GET OUT!!'' I pushed him and ran out of his office with tears in my eyes.
