I walked over the the refrigerator and decided to get a literal midnight snack. I saw some leftover pizza, and figured I would splurge since I was now hungry. After I was done, I laid in bed and tried falling asleep. I hear the voice murmur in the back of my mind. I started panicking. I picked up my phone to text my best friend and somehow I ended up calling Josh. It was too late to hang up because I heard him answer.
"Lo" I heard sleepily.
"Hey" I said breathless.
"Ken? Are you okay?"
"Um, kind of.....okay not really"
"Sorry. I'm awake now, I promise. I'm listening."
"I just needed to hear your voice. It was either that or your music. It comforts me." I confessed.
"I'm glad I could help. I'll stay until you fall asleep. I promise."
"R-really?"
"Always. How about I tell you some tour stories?"
"mkay"
I laid down, still in his sweater. I curled up with my blanket, put the phone on speaker and got comfy. He began to talk and I started to fall asleep. Within minutes I had fallen into a deep sleep.
(Josh's POV)
I heard her breathing slow and realized she was asleep. I then realized how much I needed to talk to her too. For once I was tired and didn't have trouble falling asleep. I hung up the phone and fell asleep quickly.
(Kennedy's POV)
I woke up around noon the next day. I had never slept so well. My phone rang from my nightstand. It was Em.
"HOW WAS YOUR NIGHT?"
"Pretty good. How was your night with Braaaaadddddd" I laughed.
"He is so nice! We got some late night coffee and walked around catching Pokémon. He was such a gentleman and walked me to my car and is I mention that he is soooo nice?"
"Nope! Haha my night was pretty similar. Josh and I walked back to his car. Did I mention that my hands got cold so he held it? Well, when he was driving I started panicking and I talked to him. Like I told him EVERYTHING."
"Oh my, and how did he react? Oh and I have another date with Brad tonight."
"Ahhhh yes! As for Josh? He listened and helped me a lot. It helped to talk about everything for once. Definitely something else to talk to the person who helps you the most about your problems. I'm just hoping he won't forget me."
"How could he forget you!! You definitely are someone that isn't forgettable."
"And what do you mean by that??" I chuckled.
"Oh you know what I mean. I saw when he gave you that drumstick. He isn't gonna forget about you anytime soon."
My phone buzzed signaling another call coming in.
Incoming call: Red
"I gotta go, Em. He didn't forget"
A faint yelling noise was heard as I answered the other call.
"Hello?"
"Hey Kennedy! it's Josh, uh, Josh Dun"
"I know your voice, silly! So what's up?"
"I was wondering if you would want to go get lunch with Jenna and Tyler and I?"
"Of course I would! Will they remember me?"
"You are unforgettable" He said confidently.
