Laci P.O.V.
Emily had been through a lot. Her last 7 families except one mistreated her. The 4 of them beat her almost to death and the other 2 just ignored her and didn't do anything for her. The one although, treated her very well but, they had one of their one own and sent her away.
When I looked over to wake Emily up, I saw fear and worry on her sleeping face. I tapped her and she woke-up quite easily.
Emily P.O.V.
I looked up and Laci was shaking me.
"Time to wake up. We are landing." She softly.
We landed and got my luggage.
"Taxi! Taxi!" Laci called in the cold.
A yellow cab pulled up and Laci opened the door and I got in with my suitcases. Laci hopped in the car.
"Where to Miss?" the taxi driver asked with an attitude.
"Umm lets see" Laci answered looking at a paper "27 North King street."
The driver nodded and started driving. It was a silent car ride. We pulled up to a beautiful tan house.
"Umm sir, can you stay here til I am done is that possible? It shouldn't take long." Laci asked.
"Yeah, Yeah sure." he huffed " I better be paid for the hassle."
"Of course" she sighed " come along Emily."
I hopped of the car, nervous with every step I took, I really didn't want to go inside. My friends at the care center told me about new houses. We got to the door and Laci rang the door bell. A man with shaggy, shoulder length hair answered the door.
"Hello. Can I help you?" he asked
"Hi, I am Laci Mctalen. I here with the Heart care foster care system from New York. I am here to deliver Emily Davis to you and your family." Laci explained
"Oh yeah, sorry forgot that was today. Welcome. My name is Luke Smallbone."
"Okay if you would just sign these and here is a list of Emily's allergies, and medical states." Laci explained farther. Luke nodded, then finally stopped signing and gave half the papers back to Laci.
"O.K. I think every thing is in order. Bye Emily, if you need any thing just call." Laci hugged me and left. I looked at Luke and he nodded.
"Come-on in" he beckoned.
