We followed the nurse down the long hallway.
"Emily was in for a rough night..." the nurse sighed. "She's very lucky."
We reached the room 197.
"Here is Emily's room" she sighed. We walked inside. Emily looked so peaceful laying there. We set down our coats and came to Emily's side. I noticed Courtney had tears running down her face.
"Luke why..why did this have to happen?" Courtney cried.
"I don't know Love. I don't know" I sighed.
————————Emily's P.O.V. ———————
I was going to a light. I heard music but it was faded.
Am I dead? I thought. The light turned to darkness. I opened my eyes. I saw Courtney and Luke by my side. They both sighed in relief.
"Emily....thank God you're ok..." Luke sighed.
"Wait you're not mad?" I asked.
"No honey...why would we be mad?" Courtney asked.
"I don't know. Just thought you would be" I sighed. Remembering the last time I pulled this.
"No we are not mad. We are disappointed but not mad."Luke sighed. They hugged me. The door swung open and in stepped Moriah and Joel.
"Joel, Moriah, what are you doing here?" Courtney sighed.
"We can to see Emily and how everyone was doing." Moriah responded.
"Emily just woke up."Luke sighed. The doctor walked in next.
Wow. I'm popular today. Let play how many people will come through that door! I thought.
"Well Miss Emily, you gave us quite a scare."the doctor sighed. "But I'm glad you're ok. Do you you remember anything?"
"Well I remember taking almost a whole bottle of Advil. And then I passed out. Then I remember going to a white light...and there was...singing...which sounds weird. Then I woke up." I recalled.
"Ok. Well you did take a lot of medication. You woke up at one point screaming for your guardians. You put up quite a fight." The doctor sighed. " Mr. and Mrs. Smallbone can I talk to you alone please."
Luke and Courtney went out into the hall.
————————-Luke's P.O.V.————————
The doctor pulled us out into the hall.
"Yes doctor?" Courtney sighed.
"Emily has had a rough night, as you can see. We had to pump her stomach and fix a few things. She woke up a few times screaming for you. She put up quite a fight." The doctor sighed.
"Yes you told us this.." I sighed.
"Yes. What I didn't tell you is that Emily died. She was gone for at least 5 minutes. She's a miracle." The doctor sighed looking through the door crack at Emily laughing.
"So that white light?" Courtney sighed.
"I don't know. She can go home tonight."The doctor sighed.
"Well thank you doctor." I said holding out my hand. He shook my hand and walked on to the next room. We walked back in.
"When can I go home?" Emily asked.
"Tonight sweetheart." Courtney sighed.
—————————-8:00pm————————-
We got into the car and drove home. By the time we got home Emily was asleep. I carried her in and placed her in her bed.
"Goodnight Emily." I sighed. I closed the door but before I could close it all the way I heard a faint voice.
"Goodnight Dad.."
