I rode the bus home in the rain. I was listening to Hero by 'Skillet' followed by 'Priceless' by dad and uncle Joel. The rain pounded on the bus window. The Donni stopped the bus and called my name several times...most them I didn't hear.
"EMILY!"she yelled. "Is Emily on?"
I jumped up half scared to death.
"Ah there you are." She sighed. "See you after winter break. God bless you honey!"
I walked off not saying a word. I walked down the street in the pouring rain. I walked up to the house and unlocked the door. I stepped in and through off my bag and shoes and ran up stairs to my top dresser drawer upstairs. I went through my top dresser drawer and found my razor blade. I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror.
"Your so worthless...so pathetic...your a mistake to human kind." I repeated the words said to me today and cut on every ending of the sentence.
The door opened downstairs.
"Emily...dear I am home." Courtney called from down stairs while I was rinsing my wrist.
"Emily? You home?"
"Yeah I will be right down."
I quickly hid the razor and went downstairs pulling my
sleeve down over my cuts.
