So, Wally's soulmate was not in Central City.

He was currently in Gotham, wishing Batman wouldn't be upset with him. The Dark Knight should've been used to him in his city, though; he and Rob always hung out whenever they were free.

No, scratch that. Just whenever. If one of them had work to do, the other would be in the same room, keeping them company.

The only time they weren't together was during their patrols with their mentors or the ocassional exceptions.

Wally shook his head and tried to get back on track. He was following his string.

~BIRDFLASH~

The speedster found himself just outside Wayne Manor.

Wide eyed, he realized what his marking was symbolising; the roof where KF and Rob first met.

*Flashback*

Batman had agreed to Flash's suggestion; he would allow his protege to meet the speedster's nephew.

They agreed that the meeting spot would be on a Central City roof, since Batman refused to let two speedsters into Gotham at once.

Both the Flash and his partner were running late, kinda ironic but something came up.

As Flash went up to the other Leaguer, with a "Sorry, we're late," Kid went over to Robin.

"Hi! I'm Kid Flash! Some call me Flash Boy or Flash Kid but it's Kid Flash! You must be Robin! Sorry Flash and I were late, we would've been here sooner but we lost track of time fighting Captain Cold." He spoke up, a bit loudly.

Robin blinked a few times as he rambled, whoops.

"Hi?" Robin seemed to ask, not hearing all of Kid Flash's "speed talk."
He also confirmed that Kid got his alias right.

Instead of commenting on Robin's awkwardness, he starting going on about some random topic. He really didn't want to be in awkward silence, afterall, he was the one to beg the Flash into setting up this meeting.

Robin interupted his blabbering in the middle of a story.

Oh, no! What if he was annoyed?!

"I'm gonna call you KF! If we're gonna hang out, I can't keep saying Kid Flash, you know? Quite the mouthful." Robin said.

He wants to hang out? He couldn't stop the grin that appeared on his face.

"Only if I get to call you Rob!"

The two ended up staying out till really late.

*Flashback end*

He gulped before quickly running out of Gotham and back into Central. Wally didn't want to go home quite yet, he needed the air to help him think. Instead, he decided to sit on the edge of a building. He hadn't realized he had gone to the same rooftop as the one on his wrist.

Yanking his goggles off of his head, he began to think over his situation.

Rob was definitely his soulmate.

What was he supposed to do? He can't exactly go up to Robin and say "Hey, remember how I started to see those red strings of fate but you didn't really believe me? Well, I followed the one attached to me and found myself outside your home. It all made sense because of my marking too!"

He sighed.

Wally wasn't going to lie to himself; recently, he began to realize that what he felt for the ebony haired boy wasn't as platonic as he thought. Five years of knowing the other..

Wait.. The ginger came to yet another realization that night; he had never seen Robin's mark. He knew what the Boy Wonder looked like under his mask, hell, he even knew what the other looked without a shirt! He knew practically everything about the acrobat! However, both Robin and Richard Grayson seemed to have their left wrist covered at all times; Robin had his glove and Richard was always dressed in either his fancy long sleeves or he had on rubber straps. (Those rubber bracelets)

The speedster had asked the other about it once, when the younger had reached the age for the marking to appear. He had said that he didn't understand it and "You know how bats feel about not knowing something." Wally hadn't asked again after that.

He was completely stumped. How could talking to his best friend be one of the most difficult things in the world?

Getting up with yet another sigh, he started to slowly walk home. He still didn't notice where he had been.

~BIRDFLASH~

For those who thought the flashback seemed familiar, you must've read my other BirdFlash fic! I had tweaked it a bit ^_~

I thought it would be a good idea to make this story have a few relations with my other story because, really, who doesn't love references and such?

Thanks for reading!
