The Dragon & His Princess {NaLu story}

Prologue

There once was a young princess named Lucy Heartfillia. She ruled the land alongside the royal family at the age of 14.
At an age like this, she was capable of marriage. Her father had already arranged a wedding ceremony for her to wed Sir Loke, a duke. They needed an heir to the throne, since the queen had been lost to illness.
Lucy thought that she was prepared to live out the rest of her days as Sir Loke's wife and the mother of the future king, but when came the day of her marriage, she refused.
Not only did she embarrassed Sir Loke, but as well as her father. So much in fact that he ordered she be locked in a tower near the forest of death as punishment. For 4 years.
The forest of death was given its name because on the other side, laid the land and kingdom of the dragon clan. If anyone were to step foot there, instant death.

For the first couple of weeks, Lucy laid in her bed scared to be eaten by dragon in her sleep. She'd heard awful tumors about the clan. How'd they share no mercy to any human. She was scared they'd be aware of her and quickly end her life.

But, that didn't happen. Lucy actually met a nice dragon boy her age but a couple months older than her. His name Was Natsu. He was quite kind and he offered her company in the lonesome tower. He talk with her for hours and they'd share meals he'd catch. For those 4 years the two grew an amazing and trust worthy and unbreakable bond.

One day, after Natsu told her he'd have to leave for an entire week, Lucy find herself missing Natsu dearly. He said it was important matters he had deal with his father. He said he'd be back as soon as possible, but the thought of not seeing him for 7 whole days, made her heart ache.
Lucy realized that week something important.

She had fallen in love with Natsu.

Days passed and Lucy kept her love for Natsu secret. She feared he wouldn't love her.

But years passed and they grew close.
