The Dragon & His Princess {NaLu story}

11: Goodbye's & Hello's

=No One's POV=

It has been a day since the dragon King Igneel sent a letter to the king of humans. The letter stated that Lucy had agreed to the terms and was on her way. The carriage arrived for her at dawn.

Mostly everyone was there to wish her good luck and goodbye. Though Natsu, was the only one absent at her departure. He was watching the carriage ride off in his room. Virgo had entered his room.

"Natsu-sama, the others are wondering where you are," she says.

"Tell them I'm just in my room."

"You didn't say goodbye to princess."

"Because if I say goodbye, then I have excepted that she's leaving me, and I'll never except that reality." Natsu said gripping the blanket he was sitting on, while his other hand was covering his eyes. Virgo left the room, and determination plan hatched in Natsu's head.

Lucy had been riding in her carriage for at least in hour. She realized that flying to the kingdom is always faster.

When the carriage finally did arrive, it was the palace. She was greeted my the king himself.

"Lucy, you've made the right choice." He said helping his daughter off of the carriage.

"Yes." Lucy said with depression in her face.

"Come now, your future husband is waiting for you inside."

Natsu was blazing angry. He wanted to fly towards the kingdom, but he'd be stopped by rogue and his group guarding the barrier.

He decided to escape another way. Suddenly Natsu remembered Wendy mentioning that in the first Dragon & Human war, the palace created a secret exit way for the royal family. It was in the king's chambers.

Natsu quietly sneaked around the castle. He slipped inside his father's room, and quickly started shifting around looking for an exit. Natsu couldn't find one.

"Natsu?" A voice asked from behind him. It was Wendy.

"W-Wendy! Don't scare me like that."

"Sorry but what are you doing in here?"

"I'm, uh, nothing special." He replied. Natsu took a Whiff of the air. Natsu stared at her in confusion.

"The air smells fresh here, it's coming from behind this." She says placing her hands on a painting.

"Y-You? How? When?"

"I knew you were looking for the exit, going to see Lucy huh?"

"Your not gonna stop me."

"I wasn't planning to. I miss Lucy, bring her back ok?" Wendy says opening the painting like as small door. Natsu smiled at Wendy, and patted her head as he went inside the small passage. "You know it," he said with a look of determination on his face.

Lucy was dressed in her wedding dress, she looked beautiful. She insisted on wearing her mothers dress, but the king denied it.

Lucy was guided to the marriage altar. The entire kingdom was there. The king had all told them that she had been kidnapped by bandits all these years. When in reality shed been locked in that tower, and then with Natsu.

Everyone gasped at Lucy, even though she wasn't wearing her mothers dress, she still looked beautiful. Whispers were spreading all over the place.

She slowly walked to the altar where the duke was waiting for her. Her eyes were simply filled with depression and she had a fake smile. When she made it to the altar, she faced the man she was to wed.

As the Minister began talking. He began reading from his book. The duke was smiling away while Lucy was still as a statue. Suddenly there was noise that rumbled through out the palace.

A large thump sound was heard, and it was getting closer and closer. Lucy and everyone else looked at the doors. Without warning they blasted open. What you would see was a young man with pink spiky hair, with horns sticking out of his head. Wings that were spread across his back. And his eyes were filled with fiery look.

"Lucy!" He screamed as if a roar. People gasped in horror and turned to the princess, but she was running towards the so-called monster. She had dropped her Bouquet of flowers, and tears were escaping her eyes as she ran towards him. Natsu opened his arms with a smile, and Lucy ran into them.

"Natsu!" She said in glee, for she has missed her true love.

People gasped, wondering what was their princess doing, hugging a beast. It surprised them even more when she kissed him.

When she broke free, she turned to everyone.
"I am Lucy Heartfillia, your rightful princess and future queen. My father your current king, has been feeding you lies. When I was only 14, he was to force into marriage. I couldn't do it, so he locked me in a towers to rot for 4 years. I was never kidnapped. I thought I was going to die in that tower, I had no one with me. You couldn't imagine the solitude I felt for almost 3 weeks. But then I met Natsu, he is the prince of the dragon clan. And with his help, I learned that his people aren't what my fathers says they are. I lived with them for sometime, and they are helpful and kind people. I fell in love with them, and their prince. I will untie everyone. This foolish bickering and fighting and hatred towards each other will stop."

At first there was silence. Some people disagreed but the majority was able to consider it.

[TIME SKIP: 1 month]

It's been a month since Lucy's forced wedding. Since then, she has been working with the dragons and humans to make peace. It actually worked out, well it was progressing. Lucy's Royal advisor, met with Gajeel and seem to be working well, (It's levy😏) Wendy was bonded with a boy from a village. (Romeo😉) sting also met a young lady in the humans kingdom,(Yukino😉) and rogue even got along with a Minerva lady from the human kingdom. (👍🏼or👎🏼 on that ship?)

Actually there was a major event happening.......
