Hannah was sitting in the dorm reading her books. She would look at the clock periodically to see how long Grace had been gone. She sighed, as it was silent in the room. The only thing she heard was her turning the pages. "Maybe I should just apologize to her when she comes back." Hannah thought to herself. She just kept reading and looking at the clock.
As she kept looking at the clock she saw that it has been already 45 minutes since she left. Hannah couldn't take it and she got up to find Grace. As soon as she went to the door, Grace opened it being face to face with Hannah.
"I'm sorry." They both say simultaneously. They look at each other, "Why are you apologizing?" They say again at the same time. "Okay, you go first." They laugh a little as they keep talking in unison. "I'll go first." Hannah said. "I'm apologizing because I know you think I am probably a selfish little nerd who maybe should try something new for herself."
Grace looked at her, "No hun. I'm apologizing for not thinking about what you maybe want and over-reacting about your decision." Hannah blushed and smiled to herself, then backed away from the door to let Grace all the way into their dorm. Grace walked to her bed and sat down. Hannah sat on her bed across from her and stared at her for a little bit.
"What?" Grace said smiling a little. "Nothing." Hannah said smiling, looking down at the ground. "No there is something that you want to tell me. I know there is." Grace said trying to persuade Hannah into telling her what she was thinking. Hannah parted her mouth as if she was going to say something then she sighed. "Nothing. I'm fine."
Grace smiled and looked at her, "Okay then. Maybe we should study for the test in Mr. Sivan's class. His tests are always hard." Hannah nodded in agreement and grabbed her history book so she could start studying for his test. They both were studying and Grace looked over at Hannah as she was reading. Hannah felt Grace staring at her andd smirked at little. Grace looked back down at her book.
Grace started thinking about how she was developing feeling for Hannah. Even though Hannah was awkward and most likely too smart for her, she thought it was cute. Attractive and nerdy, a good combination. That had Grace questioning, "Do I like girls now? But I like guys also. I'm not sure I like girls if I only like one girl. Maybe that considers me bisexual. I don't even care. I like Hannah. She is the cutest thing ever." Grace started giggling to herself, making Hannah look at her in confusion.
"Everything okay over there?" Hannah asked jokingly. "Yea, just thought of something funny I heard earlier." Grace replied blushing a little trying to hide it from Hannah. Hannah just smiled, "Okay. Just making sure you are okay in the membrane." They continued studying for about an hour and a half. Grace saw that it was almost really late at night and she was getting tired.
"I'm going to go to bed. I'm really tired." Grace said yawning slightly. Hannah nodded and bookmarked the page she was on and put it next to her bed. Grace went to the bathroom and took off her make-up and put on her pajamas. As Grace was in the bathroom, Hannah put on her pajamas before she came out. By the time Grace came out Hannah was laying on her bed staring at the ceiling.
"What are you waiting on me?" Grace asked giggling a little. "Yea, so you can turn off the light when yo're ready." Hannah said politely and smiling. "Well thank you babe." Grace said not paying attention to what she was saying. "Babe?" Hannah asked. Grace froze, "I mean Well thank you.....Babylon. You know just have the test on my brain and stuff." Hannah stared at her quite confused then she just shrugged and let it go. A sign of relief came across Grace's face, as she did the worst save ever.
She got in her bed and turned off the light. "Good night." Grace told Hannah. "Night." Hannah said back. It wasn't long until they both went to sleep.
