“Your love is mine and you know it’ll never die.” Said Hannah writing her daily lyrics. She has always had a passion for writing and music. Finally it came in her mind to combine them both. She like to think of them as a musical poems. She finds it as an outlet and she can express herself. She makes expressive music. She always wants her song to have meaning behind it. “You know I love you and that’s no lie.” She strums her guitar a little to figure out a tune for the song she was creating. She writes down the rest of her lyrics and she started humming a tune that seemed perfect for the song. She started playing her guitar and singing and smiled at the sound of her voice and the guitar creating the perfect harmony giving her chills. She closed her book that was filled with over 100 songs, none of them performed anywhere but in her room.
Hannah Hart is an average college student who makes sure she dedicates her time to both her work and her music. She is 20 and working on getting her Bachelor’s Degree at University of California in Berkeley. She gets in the car after her last class and turns on the music. The music they have now doesn’t really have a meaning. Most of the song she describes them as lame, boring, repetitive, and intimidating. They don’t have any feeling or a true meaning behind them. One of the most popular songs right now is “We Can’t Stop” by Miley Cyrus. She used to be a little sweet heart in one of the most popular television shows on Disney Channel but everything just went to waste. “Why must this song be so over played it doesn’t even make any sense?” says Hannah frustrated with how songs now a day have become. She turns off her radio and continues driving down the road when she hits traffic.
“Really? It’s 2:30 P.M. Why is there so much traffic?” She looked up the road to see that there was a really bad accident. She sighed and put her car in park, knowing that this was going to be a while. To save herself from boredom and driving herself insane she got her book and opened to a new page and started think of a new song to write. Nothing came to mind but the current event that was happening at the moment. She hummed in annoyance and sighed. “I’m stuck in traffic right now, I really want to get out, I’m hungry and tired, and I hope my tolerance gets higher, ‘cause I won’t stand for this crap.” 25 minutes later, finally the traffic line starts moving and she puts her car back in drive and she was finally able to achieve her goal and drive to the store and get some groceries for her dorm.
She got some simple stuff from the store such as bread, cheese, butter, vegetables, hummus, chips, and a few packs of ramen noodles. She went to the checkout line just to see that she had to wait, again. This clearly frustrated her and she saw a self-checkout line and she smiled in relief, being thankful that she didn’t have to wait in the long and anticipating lines. She was scanning her stuff when a girl walked up the scanner next to her. The girl was looking at her and smiled. “Hi I’m Grace!” The stranger said to Hannah catching her off guard. “Um, hi.” Hannah looked at her, you can see her cheeks get light pink from her blushing. Grace giggles and smiles a friendly smile, “I am new around Berkeley and I just transferred colleges. What is your name?” Hannah finished bagging her stuff and was in the process of paying and she looked at her, “My name is H-Hannah.” She nervously let her hand out so Grace could shake it. Grace firmly shook her hand and started scanning her items.
Hannah paid for food and held her bags and looked at Grace, “It was nice meeting you. I’m going to go to my dorm and s-study.” Grace smiled and her eyes got wide, “What is your dorm number? Maybe we can study together!” Hannah found a small piece of paper and she had a blue ink pen in her breast pocket and she wrote down her dorm number and handed to Grace. An older man waiting for the self-checkout was getting cranky and gave Hannah a really impatient look. Hannah apologized and looked at Grace. As she left the man walked to the vacant scanner and slightly bumped Hannah’s shoulder as he walked past her. Hannah lost her balance a little and continued walking. She got in her car and took a deep breath.
