After I finished getting ready I walked out of my room, and walked towards the kitchen standing next to my mom who was standing next to the kitchen island. We're about to head out to the park. It's just going to my mom, my relatives, who are bringing their close friends.

There's going to be about 50-60 people. Which now that I'm thinking about it, is a lot of people. But that's cool cause when our family gets together, you know it's about to get lit.

My mom turned to me and smiled "Finally you're ready. Lets get going y'all." She said, I chuckled everyone including me was excited about today. We all walked downstairs, put on our shoes, got into our cars and drove to the park. Once we got there we parked our cars and walked towards the park. We sat on the picnic tables, placed the food under the little building.

Some family members made cheese burgers, hotdogs, barbequed goat meat and carne asada tacos. We also had three different variety chips packs, two different packs of sodas, flavored water, a mixture of both in the cooler. I sat down on one of the picnic tables. "Hey Neveah do you mind taking care of Adam?" My auntie asked, Adam is my six month old cousin who is adorable as hell. "I'd love to take care of him auntie." I said with a smile on my face. I got up so that I could properly carry him in my arms, I picked him up and started to play with him.

Adam is Kenyan and Japanese, my other little cousin Olivia who is four is Kenyan and Italian. They were both really adorable and also really bubbly. The main time that Adam cried was when he's hungry or needed his dipper changed other than that, he's fine. "Ma when do you think the food will be ready?" I asked. "A few more minutes." She said, I nodded. My cousin who was only a year younger than me came and sat next to me "Can I hold him?" He asked, I nodded. "Yeah, just be careful, okay?" I asked him, he nodded.  "You know I'll be careful cuzzo." I chuckled giving him Adam, I stood up. "Aight so if you need a break, I'm gonna be on the swings with Mia and Anaya." I said, he nodded. "Okay Neveah, I'll be fine, go have fun." He said. I laughed and nodded.

My cousins and I walked over to the swings and started swinging on them. Every time I looked to my left I saw a woman staring at us, not going to lie it made me feel a little self-conscious, after that we got off the swing and walked to the lake which was next to the swings. "Hey Mia can I borrow your flip flops?" Anaya asked, Mia nodded and handed her the flip flops. Anaya got in the water. While both Mia and I sat down just watching her go into the water. "I swear if you lose my flip flops or break them, I'm going to beat you up." Mia said, we cracked up. "I promise I'll take care of them." Anaya said.

After thirty minutes or so Anaya finally came out of the water. "Lets walk around." Anaya suggested, I shook my head. "Nah I'm just gonna stay over here, you know just to take care of the kids." I said, they shook their heads smiling. "Your ass is only staying here for the food." Mia said, we chuckled. "You know me!" I yelled we laughed. "Girl your something else but save us some good food." Anaya said, I smiled and started walking towards the picnic tables. "No promises girl!" I yelled, they chuckled and started walking around the park.

 I sat down next to my cousin who was still holding Adam. "Are you not tired yet?" I asked him, he shook his head.  "Naah, I like holding him. It's good practice for when I have kid." He said, I smiled. "You better wait to have kids, your moms is gonna kill you if you have kids this soon." I said, we both laughed. "Naah, I'm waayy to young, I wanna be 25 years old or even older than that when I have kids." He said, I smiled and nodded. I think that he will be an amazing father honestly, he has such a big heart, his kids will definitely be lucky and his future wife too. They better treat each other good or else I'm beating some ones ass.

"Neveah get your butt over here and help with the tacos!" My uncle yelled, my cousin chuckled, I rolled my eyes and got up. "¡voy! tío!" I yelled back. Our family is pretty diverse, I mean majority of us are Kenyan*cough* me *Couch*. But there's some Hispanics, Italians, White Americans, Brazilians, Japanese. There might not be a lot of them, but that doesn't mean that they aren't family.

I went and stood next to him. "Cariño, can you please cut up the límon and tomate?" He asked me, I nodded. "Okay, is that all tío?" I asked, he nodded and gave me a kiss on my cheek, I smiled at him. "Yes cariño." He said. He spoke to us in Spanish as much as he could, which I personally think is pretty cool. I picked the knife up and started cutting the lime and tomatoes, while he concentrated on the carne asada and tortillas. "So Neveah what do you plan on eating?" He asked facing me,  I smiled looking at him. "Of course your carne asada tacos tío, oh and the goat meat." I said. "That's my niece." He said high fiving me, I chuckled, we went back to what getting the food ready.

"I'm done. I even cut them in cubes like you asked." I said smiling, he looked at me putting the meat on the cutting board. "Me too, now all I need to do is cut this up." He said, picking the other knife up and cutting the meat. Not going to lie, my mouth started watering just looking at it. "I swear you're the best tío." I said to him, he looked at me and smiled. "Dilo de nuevo" He said.

I playfully rolled my eyes. "I swear you're the best tío." I said again, he smiled and put the knife down, he came and hugged me, I hugged him back. "Gracias cariño." He said. "De nada tío." I said, we let go of each other. Before we knew it our food was ready. "You did good baby girl, now lets eat." He said. "Aren't we gonna serve people?" I asked. "People got hands, they can serve themselves." He said sounding like my auntie, I chuckled. "Okay, if you say so." I said, he smiled. We served ourselves and went to get some chips and drinks.

The family get together was a lot of fun. We ate food, then played a bunch of games, like soccer/fútbol, volleyball, tennis etc, we also danced a long to the music and some of us were just chilling. I honestly could never ask for a better family, they're honestly the best. .
