The bell rang indicating that it was lunch time, we all grabbed our bag packs and walked towards the cafeteria, I went and sat down at the table that my friends and I usually sit together. "Hey guys." I said with a big smile on my face. "What go you so happy?" Mila asked, I raised my eyebrows. "What can't a girl be happy?" I said, Vivi chuckled. "Girl, did Hayes make you this happy? If that's the case, where he at?" She asked, I looked around the cafeteria and saw him standing at the front of the line waiting to get his food. "He's right there." I said pointing. They turned to look at him, the turned back to look at me smiling. "He's not the only reason that I'm happy you know." I said, Mila looked at me "Of course we know that girl. I know we're a big part of why you're happy." I smiled. "We better be, you don't really have a choice." Vivi said, I chuckled. "Of course, you guys are my best friends." I said.
We continued to eat the food as the rest of our friends filled up the rest of the seats around the table, I looked up to see Hayes walking towards his friends table. He looked up in my direction and waved, I smiled and waved back. "You guys look cute together. When are both of you gonna start dating?" Elena said, I looked at her and smiled. "I mean we're building up our friendship, we're making it stronger. Hopefully we'll end up dating but you never know." I said, Mila rolled her eyes. "Girl we both know that some how both of you guys will end up dating." She said, I sighed. " I just don't want to get my hopes up, I don't want the both of us getting hurt." I said, Mila looked at me. "Girl but that's all part of life. You have to take chances or else how will both you be able to learn and grow from the experience. Plus you never know what could happen." She said, I sighed and let everything she said sink in. I really don't like when she has a point.
I looked at her. "You know, I hate it when you actually have a point sometimes." I said, she laughed and shrugged. "Aye, we both know that I'm right, and I'm not saying that one of you has to make a move right now, but later on." She said. "Plus don't forget that neither one of you are going to wait for each other, you don't have to make a move right now but don't wait too long cause then before you know it someone else is gonna make their move." Elena said, once again they're right. "Since when did you guys get so mature? And how did this turn into an advice session?" I said, they smiled and shrugged. "I'm so lucky to be able to call you guys my friends." I said, they smiled and awed.
We finished eating our food and once the bell rang we all walked to our 4th periods after saying our goodbyes. I heard someone yelling my name, I turned my head looking around and saw Hayes waving at me as soon as we made eye contact. I smiled walked towards him, he was standing next to the cafeteria doors closest to our 4th period which happened to be biology. "Hey what's up." I said as soon as I reached him, he smiled. "I was thinking that after school we could go to this really good restaurant. We could go there and get some food then head to my place and hang out while doing some home work." He said, I smiled. "Yeah that sounds like a good plan." I said, as we started walking towards our class. We went to class and did our work and talked at the same time.
School went by really quickly and before we knew it, school ended. Hayes and I met up at the front of the school. "So how are we going to get to this food joint?" I asked . "My brother is gonna be here in a couple of minutes." He said I smiled. "How much will I need to pay you back?" I asked, he raised his eyebrows. " Really Neveah, when have I ever made you for anything?" He asked. "You've never made me pay." I said, he smiled. "Exactly because I'm the one inviting you to come with me, I'm not going to make you pay." He said, I smiled. "Thank you Hayes." I said, he shrugged and smiled. "Hey, its no problem. It's my pleasure." He said.
He looked at me. "Oh and by the way, I wanted to tell you earlier but you look pretty." He said, I smiled and looked at him. "Thank you Hayes!" I said, he chuckled. Nash pulled up, we both got into the car. "Hey Neveah! How've you been?!" Nash asked, I smiled at him. "Hey Nash! I've been good, how about you?" I asked as he started driving towards the restaurant. He parked his car. "Are you gonna come out?" Hayes asked, he nodded. "Yeah, hopefully they'll have something that I can eat." He said, we all got out of the car and walked into the restaurant.
There weren't that many people in line so that was a good thing. "What are you guys planning to do after this?" Nash asked, we looked at him. "We're gonna head back home and probably just chill and do homework in my room." Hayes said, I looked at him. "You're mom is gonna be chill with that?" I asked, Nash smiled at him. "Yeah Hayes, is mom gonna be cool with that?" He asked, Hayes playfully shoved him. "Come on now, we both know that she'd be cool with it as long as I have my door open." Hayes said smiling. "So Nash, how's Taylor? I haven't seen her in a while." I asked. "She's good, she misses you. We should all hang out." He said, Hayes and I smiled. "You mean like last time?" Hayes asked, Nash smiled and rolled his eyes. "Well its not gonna be exactly like last time. We're actually gonna hang out together." He said. " Whatever you say." I said.
We walked up, it was our turn to order. We ordered the food that we all wanted:

Nash made sure that the food that he had gotten was gluten free. We got our food for to go, Hayes was about to pull out his wallet when Nash stopped him. "Nah chill, I got it." He said, Hayes smiled. "Thanks bro." He replied. We got out of the line and waited for them to call our name up. "Your outfit is on point." Nash said, I smiled. "Thank you!" I said. "I was telling her that she looks pretty earlier." Hayes said, Nash looked at the both of us. "When are you guys gonna start dating?" He asked, I lightly slapped my thigh. "Mila and 'em were talking about the same thing at lunch." I said, Hayes nodded. "The guys were asking the same thing too, I just told them that we're still building up our friendship, plus we don't wanna end up hurting each other." Hayes added on, Nash nodded. "But it doesn't hurt to give it a try. You never know what could happen." He said, my eyes widened. "That's the same thing that Mila and Elena said!" I exclaimed, they smiled.
Hayes shook his head. "I don't like this side of you sometimes Nash." He said, Nash smiled. "What? You mean the side of me that has a valid point?" He asked. "Yeah I agree with Hayes on this one." I said, Nash chuckled. "Dislike it all you want, but you both know that your friends and I have a point. Oh and I want to make a deal with both of you." He said, we raised our eyebrows. "What's the deal?" We asked, we couldn't help it, we were curious. " 20 bux from both of you, that both of you guys will end up dating before this year ends." He said, we nodded and shook on it. "Its a deal." I said. Our names got called up, Hayes grabbed the paper bag that had all the food. I grabbed some napkins and added them into the bag. We got into the car and drove to their place.
The house was quiet, we removed our shoes and walked upstairs to the kitchen. We saw the note, Hayes walked over and read the note. "Mom, dad and Sky are gonna be out for a bit." He said, Nash nodded. "Okay that's cool with me, and you guys can either come and chill with me or go into Hayes room and do homework." He said, Hayes looked at me. "Would you be cool with hanging out with him?" He asked, "We can hang out together another time if you're cool with it." He continued, I nodded. "Yeah, I'm down and okay that sounds good." I said smiling. We sat down on the couch and hung out with each other. The evening was full of laughs and meaningful conversations, I loved it and I wouldn't have traded today for the world. I missed this. I really hope that everyone is right though. It would be amazing to have a relationship with Hayes cause I really do like him. As cheesy as it sounds, I really hope that he likes me back, but just incase he doesn't I'm going to try keep my hopes low. We still need to concentrate on having a stronger friendship.
