After we all finished our pancakes, Jonathan went into the downstairs bathroom to freshen up. In the mean time, I had to stay with his sons. They surprisingly don't resemble him at all. Dennis has blonde curly hair with light green eyes and Charlie has dark tan skin with short, black hair that is shaven on one side with hazel eyes. Jonathan has light tan skin with dirty blonde hair and deep blue eyes. I can tell why Aunt Ivy is dating him. With his body type and personality? It could make any thirty year old woman swoon.

"Say Charlie, isn't today the day were our little sis becomes a Freshman?"

"Ol' chap, I suppose it is!" they teased. I rolled my eyes and huffed. They both gave be a tight hug and a kiss on each cheek.

"You are growing up so fast, Ula!" Charlie said as he pretended to wave tears from his eyes. They were both Juniors so they thought I was adorable being new to the campus. I groaned and playfully punched both of their stomachs. They both fell to the ground with a thud!

"We've been shot! Call 911!" they cried on the carpet.

A door from upstairs swung open and my aunt's weak voice traveled clear through the house. "You two better keep quiet or no videogames for the rest of the year!" she said with all the strength she could. The door slammed shut and they slowly gulped, biting their tongues. I couldn't help but laugh at their pathetic looking faces! They growled and stood, wiping off their clothes.

Jonathan gave a small smile to our little scene with the toothbrush in his mouth. When he finished, he seemed like a different person from the previous hour. His hair was combed and gelled, he was wearing nice causal clothing, and he was wearing shoes! He never wore shoes around the house so when the boys saw him walk out, they gave a long but quiet whistle.

"You two better shut your mouths unless you want to be thrown out of here like two little pups," he said as he walked over to get my registration packet. I giggled by his comment and he gave a small smirk over to me. "You ready to go?" he asked.

I nodded and carefully hopped off of the island. I poked both of their cheeks before they left to go outside to do their chores. I took the packet from Jonathan and anxiously walked to the front door and down to his truck. It was in pretty mint condition for being ten years old. I swung open the big door and climbed inside. He did the same but made it one continuous action. I smiled to myself and looked out the window as he pulled out of the drive way. I caught a glance of Aunt Ivy in her window, looking down to us. She gave a small wave and I waved back.

Driving down the road, my heart began to race. Would I like my classes? Will I fit in? Will the dorks embarrass me on the first day? All of the sudden, Jonathan reached over and placed his hand on my knee. It was a comfortable and warm feeling.

"You know kid, you have nothing to be worried about. I'll make sure Charlie and D are there for you," he calmly said, not taking his eyes off the road. My eyes widened slightly. It's almost as if he read my mind, I thought to myself. At the same moment, I could feel my heart slowly calm down by his words. I placed my hand over his and kept looking out the window, letting my mind wander off into another world.
