It's harder to forgive sometimes,
For what others have done to us.
What is even harder is forgetting the memories,
Their actions have embedded in us.
But what is more difficult is showing mercy.
To those who have wronged you.
You rather get your revenge and hurt them as they did to you.
Yet, that never settles anything even if we wish.
In each of us, there lies goodness within.
Some soo vast and others the weight of an atom.
Use that to propel you towards what is right.
No one ever said it was easy,
But strong is he who goes against his desires.
And makes amends with those who've harmed him.
Turning his foes into friends.
